Yeah, I used to really like First Take when Crawford and Jacobson hosted and the show was primarily a news/interview show with First and Ten debate segments mixed in having Skip debate against a variety of guest analysts. The show became an absolute joke when Stephen A. Smith became a permanent fixture and transitioned away from being a more in-depth SportsCenter into featuring non-stop debate (loud shouting) between those two. Also the hosts they had to replace Jay Crawford in the transition to the new show were underwhelming and didn't moderate the debate segments nearly as well. They would just sit there and introduce the segment then basically listen the whole time.

I don't know. I thought his show with Russilo (and now Russilo and Kanell) was just two bros in their 30s-40s trying to relive their college glory days. Was a little obnoxious at times, but just my opinion.

I like it, but it is a little intrusive, its in the way when I open my gmail app, I'll probably re-install it in the updated version.

I like where theyre going with it though.

ok, let me correct myself: they are getting somebody's money, it is up for debate as to whether or not it is fair compensation
EDIT:my main point was that i'm not sure they should be held to a higher standard then others because they are on scholarship. like i said, i'm perfectly fine with whatever suspensions, etc come of it, i just don't think they should be held to a higher ethical/moral/etc standard

I'd say that's irrelevant to this conversation. These guys accept scholarships under conditions of academic and personal conduct standards. They know what's at risk, and that's the point being made. For many, this is their only shot at a college education. It's up to them to decide if illegal behavior is worth loss of their opportunity.

Because they're not a responsible adult who fully understands the gravity of their actions. Also, it's not that easy to just stop doing something like that. Many probably did it in high school before they got their scholarships anyway so it's not like they just decided to start once they got here.

These things need to at least be handled with some educating and "rehab" instead of zero-tolerance at first offense.

Either you were copied, or I remember looking out my PY window and watching this hilariousness ensue. Leg to you

I like most of the panelists on ATH. I don't mind Tony Reali or Tony Kornheiser on PTI either. Those are pretty much the only actual shows I ever watch on ESPN. Otherwise, I only use ESPN exclusively for sporting events (mostly football)

That duplex that is behind the apartments off of Center Street, is the "stand here and finish your beer" spot on the way to the stadium. I've seen 70 year olds chug their beer before exiting to Stadium Woods.

Quin has made lots of tackles but haven't seen any real big play and athleticism. Has the measurable but would like to see more playmaking. I think he is probably the 3rd or 4th best safety in ACC. Kid from Florida state and Whitehead from Pitt better players
Imo. But yes good probability he's gone after the year.

Not to spin off into another tangent that has been beaten to death, but yes, these guys are getting other people's money. They get full ride scholarships, stipends on top of that (the new thing in the last year or so), first class training facilities, tutors, nutritionists, etc. That's all value and it comes out of donors' wallets. So yes, they're getting financial compensation that is contingent upon proper behavior on and off the field.

Because a third party can't create a true emoji and I believe that phone manufacturers standardize images to be a certain size, specifically in text conversations. That is not controlled by the input image.

A fort. Classic. Peter Griffin would be proud, but then punch you in the thigh for not actually having built one.
