There's a lot of time between now and February signing day whatever day in February that is. I wouldn't put too much stock in these April commitments one way or the other. I think the results on the field will start speak for themselves and I'm optimistic that Tech is going to have a really good year. Like 10 win good.

So I assume that would apply as well to RBs...

Everyone is reading so much into this these are highschool kids and the decision is so complex we cannot attempt to try and rationalize this. Just sit back, relax, and hope for the best.
I don't think it was ever set in stone that he was planning on coming to the spring game. Still possible that he might. This kid seems to like to play the recruiting game and is pretty good at it.

Yep, and boy are they grateful that you can't tell the difference between hokie orange and LOLUVa orange at a distance. Really cuts down on the time spent photoshopping fans in.

Tennessee-Vanderbilt doesn't command a lot of attention these days. Neither does Virginia-Virginia Tech.

It's not that they dropped the requirement, it's that the Hokie Club did not buy up as many tickets, so there were some available for public sale. Back when we would sell out more frequently, we wouldn't have public season tickets available. Hokie Club was just about your only way in.

It has changed over time. When I looked into it in the mid-2000's there was no way to buy new season tickets without being in the Hokie Club. (I assume you could renew existing ones without being a member.) More recently, as others have mentioned, they dropped the Hokie Club requirement for season ticket purchases. I am not sure, but I believe that was within the last 3-4 years.
With the Wiles-Shibest and the Edmunds bros, sounds confusing for those trying to report. Upside, if any of them say something stupid, they can blame it on the other. Downside, nobody will believe them.
