I'm afraid this one feels like another miss. We always lose these types of guys when its one on one with another big school, but boy do I hope I'm wrong.

Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeah.... not a good omen if you ask me

At this point, I'm assuming he's going to Tennessee and will be pleasantly surprised if I'm wrong.

Personally I've taken this year off worrying about recruits. There is just too much going on with a new coach, new system etc to I think see what Fuente and Co bring to the recruiting table. Plus it makes things a lot less stressful. I really hope if he doesn't pick VT that Twitter and Facebook fans stay calm.

yeah I did miss Clemson. and haven't been to ECU. but GT, UM, FSU, DUKE, and WAKE ive been to all the road games. been to one NCST game. When we sat down and realized how much driving we were doing and paying for tickets that's when we decided to just anti up and get season tickets. Specially with the OSU tickets last year costing around 200 a pop we figured if we just applied that towards the season tickets we were about 1/2 way there anyways lol.

im going to do my best to get to the ND game this year and we got 10 tickets for the BOB game. which I may have to end up selling a couple people always say they are going but Ive been trying to collect the money for a couple months now and I keep getting the ill give it to you when I see you but I see you dang near everyday! lol

Let me clarify my position. The older part of the Clemson fanbase is hospitable and friendly. The kids through 30 somethings, are delusional and extremely frustrating to deal with and their five years of relevance has exponentially increased their insufferability.

If you're just walking around the main tailgating areas it's mostly adults and families, the student party/Greek tailgates are usually a little more condensed and secluded, so you will likely avoid the bad apples if you're just casually wandering around the major lots, that's where you will find hospitality from Clemson fans.

From 247:

"The Hokies own the majority of the onsite buzz and intel. Crosby said he made his decision "two weeks ago" and has only informed his mother of his choice at this point."

I'm hoping that if you run twice as many plays in practice that you'll be twice as likely at game time to run the play properly and without penalties.

Or he's solid in his decision, realizes the staff has a large number of top prospects at the spring game requiring their attention, and he's just going to go to a camp to work on his skills. It could mean anything or it could mean nothing. Knowing how closely he's playing his situation to the vest, I'm not reading anything into anything. We'll likely see a few crystal balls show up 10 min before he announces if someone on either the Tennessee or VT coaching staff leaks info to someone at 24/7. But that'll probably be about it.

I agree. If he was committing good guys I feel like he'd want to see the spring game then commit...but he did announce his date long time ago so who knows.

and any road games south of VA

that's still a pretty good chunk of games for us. Between da U, UNC, Duke, ECU, GT (and extremely occasional games with FSU, Clemson, Wake, NCSU) there are always going to be a handful of games south of VA. not a bad deal, really.

My heart sunk when I read that he isn't coming to the Spring game anymore. That cant be good since he had planned to come to that up until this point.

ha yeah we are actually gold this year as well. I messed up an extra $1000.00 that I thought was going to be applied towards next years ended up going towards this years. I doubt ill be able to keep that pace up every year but we will see. ill let it ride for this year and see how it works out for me. last year I had seats section 2 row WWW and it was my first time back having season tickets since moving to FL in 2001 (still was making it up for about 2 home games and any road games south of VA) and I cant really complain about my seats but id like to get a lil closer and more towards the 50.

and in related news, rigging out the Nucanoe http://www.nucanoe.com/nucanoe-frontier/ continues.

I didn't want the seat shown but the dealer had it as a "package"...likely use will be as Mrs. Dave's tanning chair. A 36 qt igloo fits snug on the floor between the gear tracks. I moved one of the rod tip protectors to the rear so I can lay 2 spinning rods flat on each side. USCG safety equip all fits in the front hatch. I have a milk crate strapped in the back.

Fedex brought a little 2.5 Suzuki this week. The purpose for the gas motor is strictly for range. I plan to have an electric (transom mount) motor as well for shorter distances and will go sans motor in the immediate vicinity.

So far, Mrs. and I have just paddled around a bit to check stability. I can stand up just fine without a casting bar and it is totally self bailing with the two of us. We'll see if that holds with the motor.

Maiden voyage for motor break-in this weekend weather permitting.
