# | Evans and Motley Lead Quarterback Competition, Shibest Takes Over BeamerBall Tradition Agreed... but at the rate Babcock is trying to completely revamp the gameday experience to completely tailor it for the fans, I could see it being a logical thing to have done.
And you can't tell me the corps who handle Skipper wouldn't mind getting a weekly picture with someone like Mike Vick, Bruce Smith, Homer Hickam, Dell Curry, Kylene Barker, etc. They wouldn't even have to touch Skipper, just pull the cord to set it off under the supervision of the Corps itself. Seems like a win-win for the Corps and the fans.
It really is a shame. #NeverGraduate
I'd imagine the Corp would take exception to anyone else even touching Skipper at a game.
Honorary Skipper Firer before the Spring Game?
Actually.... that would be a pretty cool thing to have... a well known alumni back for each home game to fire off Skipper to start off the Enter Sandman procedure? (kind of like the beating of the drum at Carolina Panthers games)

Based on what? Considering no one has seen a full practice but the coaches whoever comes out as the starter will have earned that spot and the trust Fuente places in him.

# | Evans and Motley Lead Quarterback Competition, Shibest Takes Over BeamerBall Tradition At the end of the day, I think Evans is going to be the starter. I think Fuente is trying to give the senior some encouragement.
it's going to be the exact same length regardless of who the QB is
You're absolutely right, September 3rd - January 9th would be a long season.
Why should we trust the brand new head coach to be able to make the best decision for the team. I'm sure the coaches in the stands will let everyone know what the team should do, especially if: there is a RB rotation, a screen pass or Motley is the starting QB.
He's announcing the day before our Spring Game. That's got to be a good sign.
Doesn't the NCAA frown on using your hats? /s
Injuries and freshman. Couldn't trust the guys to know their assignments in zone. Man is easier to learn.

# | Evans and Motley Lead Quarterback Competition, Shibest Takes Over BeamerBall Tradition I am in complete agreement
This. And attendance at college football is trending down anyway. Man caves and expanded TV access is taking a toll.
I got one and checked it out. It's making the rounds all over the country. I figured they hacked a tax software database of some type.
My favorite is this recent tactic. Lady with nice voice, "Is this Henry? Oh, I'm sorry but I really didn't know who to ask for. I just want to talk to someone about...". It's way better than "Is theees Meeester Dahieeveed ..."
I think the upper level is baseball's batting practice facility. But it's down between the track and English Field behind McComas.

I was ISE '05 and senior design was a moderately useful class but the project was the best experience of the entire degree program. Not my favorite class but definitely the most valuable experience.

# | Evans and Motley Lead Quarterback Competition, Shibest Takes Over BeamerBall Tradition Was coming off an ACL injury his senior year. Don't think this is a new injury.

# | Evans and Motley Lead Quarterback Competition, Shibest Takes Over BeamerBall Tradition Great article. Wondering about Bud's comments regarding looking more to a zone defense this year. My dumbass opinion is we should have zoned a little more last year. Wondering if Coach F chatted Bud up on this???

With a new coach, new system and our 2 year starter (minus some injury games of course) gone I would guess the competition is wide open. Fuente and his offensive staff get the benefit of the doubt on who they think will run their system best for a year or two until they get all their own recruiticorns in place. In the interim I expect a few rough seasons but by year 3 this team should be back to competing for the ACC...
