# | Buzz Williams On Cassell Coliseum Atmosphere and the Hokies' February Schedule Yep, and our home heavy schedule was a huge benefit early in the year and two home games in March may yield a great ending.
But if he complains about and it creates more balanced schedules in the future, then great.
Since a meta thread got bumped, I have a question Joe. What's the story with the new "give us money"-meter at the top right?
It's just tough the way our breaks work out. We play 3 of our first 4 conf. games at home, but the students are on winter break. After 2 road games, they come back for the home UNC and UL games. After that VT has to play 6 of 8 games on the road. We'll get a nice crowd for Pitt, but no one will show up for the Senior Day Miami game because that's when Spring Break starts.
So we have 18 conf. games, 9 of them at home. But we only get a true home court experience in 5 of them. That's a tough break.
Edit: Another video. Full credit goes to TechSideLine. The Buzz interview. Wow. I'd be happy being half the man he is.

# | Buzzketball Central: Florida State Seminoles(16-10, 6-8) @ Virginia Tech(13-13, 5-8) 3pm ACC Network That was a good win because we had to battle adversity to get it. Some of it was injuries (Clarke out for the game, Allen and Robinson getting knicked up but battling it out). Some of it was our own fault, like stretches of really dumb defensive decisions (tons of ball watching, 3 and 4 guys collapsing on the ball leaving wide open passing lanes, just general lack of team communication). But the guys really buckled down in the latter half of the 2nd half to seal a victory.
To be honest, I don't agree with Buzz here. Sometimes, the way scheduling works, you have tough stretches of games. It happens to every team, and it just happened to us during this February stretch. It's a tough part to play so often on the road, sure.
Duke played 5 games away from home in January and 3 in Durham. It happens to them too.
UNC has 5 road games in February. The list goes on.
Today was a good win, but let's not act like the schedule is extremely unfavorable to us. Is it a tough stretch and we got a semi-short stick? Sure. But it's not like VT was thrown to the wayside here.
How else could we schedule so many home games when the students are on break? Everyone like playing their in-state rival when the campus is empty.
and their logo is screaming because he has hot bacon on his cheek.
I really like Justin Robinson. The future is bright with a point guard that can combine sick passing with scoring.
I was listening on the radio and heard the chant. Thought it was awesome! Thanks for posting.
Love that coach called out the ACC.
"I'm tired of being disrespected by those who are supposed to be justifiably fair," Williams said. "At some point, somebody needs to be the adult. They can fine me. Whit can tell me to be quiet. They're wrong. They're wrong. You don't play five games on the road, two games at home in a 27-day stretch. You don't do that."

I don't know, we've seen stranger things since joining the ACC.
I rewound and watched that whole sequence a couple of times. Moving the ball around like nobody's business to not get the wrong guy fouled, and then hitting threes like the ball was tied to the basket.
I know this is just value advocacy corporate social responsibility by Virginia Tech athletics, and thus publishing their good deeds onto social media...
Still... FEELS!!!

Glad to knock you right off the bubble Noles!
Thanks for that. Didn't notice it during the game. Guess I was jumping around and hooting like a blowfish too much to catch the chopping. Great game for the Hokies.
First I turn on ACC network and we're draining threes to close out a game, and then I see this. It was a good day.
Sent from my iPhone.
It was pretty awesome
those fit in your saddle bags?
Looks like a Hokie to me. Welcome aboard.
can't spell "you friggin suck" without FSU!!
Regarding Clarke's injury, he was back on the bench late in the second half. He was standing and jumping around when we made that huge run at the end. Hopefully it was just a bad ankle sprain.
Usually the first 2-3 ACC teams left out of the big dance make the NIT. I think we need to go 2-2 to finish out the regular season and then win 1 tourney game. That would put us at 17-15. I think 16-16 would most likely leave us on the NIT bubble.

I think it was one ofthe announcers earlier today that said that Pitt has only played 7 games away from home so far this season. Now, that is not fair on any level. Great victory today. They toughed it out.
