Injections and anti-inflammatories are very helpful short of an arthroscopic release.
The biggest help is to avoid overhead movements/exercises such as military presses and wide shoulder exercises such as flyes or wide grip presses.
Most Americans have very poor posterior shoulder development and are internally rotated at the shoulder which, combined with overhead presses/flyes lend to impingement s.
So replace the overhead raises/ presses/flyes with rows and bent-over lateral raises and stretches to help the impingement.
Maybe he WAS a street fighter and shaved his mohawk in order to hide his identity and protect his family....

Or and I know this is weird idea for HokieNation, but increase membership in Hokie Club and total donations and spend the money all over the athletic dept.
That is a nice weight room. Who cares what the ceiling is like. Great equipment and plenty of it. It looks out over the practice field and at the stadium. Spend the money elsewhere instead of trying to renovate that.
Let's put Baylor on our schedule! That'd be fun.
I'm sure their season ticket holders can't be thrilled about almost half of their home slate of games being that awful.
actually I don't think their fans would care all that much. They would probably rather see their team thump some no-body than be nervous going into the 4th quarter against a lowly ACC non-SEC team. SEC fans strike me as the type of fans who would get most excited to go see a game where they know their team will win 63-3. That sort of outcome fits well into their narrative and they want to see that. It's kind of a self assuring validation for them.
All good points. Please allow me to add to your thoughts (and the thoughts above) about Robinson... I agree, he has the potential to be a really good point guard here in the ACC. To add, I think that if he could become a more consistent threat with his outside shot (he has already shown the ability to get to the rim on occasion), he will be more than really good.
I like seeing the Hokies and Hokie bird on the walls, I think the lighting is better, in other pictures there are several levels to the room. I don't expect or want a Bama or Oregon style room but one with more brightness and maybe do more with the windows to allow more natural light in plus better VT branding around the room can't hurt.
That's the exact same floor, the exact same racks and equipment, only in a room that is taller throughout. If you look at the first picture you posted, you notice that all the racks are under an area where the ceiling is significantly lower. Look behind the racks and you'll notice the same style of exposed rafters that you see in this picture.
I agree. Home-and-homes with South Carolina, Georgia, or Florida would be great. I know those three teams already have ACC in-state rivals, but like most SEC teams, the non-conference schedule is unbelievably soft for the most part. I give UGA credit for scheduling the series with Clemson a couple years back and playing UNC to start this year. But Florida's non-conference slate this year (excluding at FSU) is UMass, North Texas, and Presbyterian. Not exactly grueling, and I'm sure their season ticket holders can't be thrilled about almost half of their home slate of games being that awful.
Just comparing it to other team weight room on same campus.
I love a lot of the Boulevard Beers. Tank 7 is definitely up there among their best. Been to their brewery no fewer than 3 times when visiting family in KC, great operation from everything I can tell.
Reminds me of that quote "...two hundred pounds is always two hundred pounds".
But yeah, I totally agree that sometimes, in wanting a pretty gym, it is easy to lose track that it is, in fact, a gym.
That looks great! Looks like a recipe that really balances malt with the hops instead of being a hop bomb.
But there's no waterfall into the pool! Somehow I feel like people who want a pretty gym to workout in fail to understand the reason they are in the gym. Equipment is state of the art and there's a lot of it. That's what matters.
It may not be deluxe by Div 1 weight room standards, but I'd pay a lot of money to get a workout in there.
I have been very critical of Wilson's play the month or so (and it's not popular with some folks) but this is the second game in a row where he has a big goose egg in the scoring column and this team is not that good to absorb an offensive liability like that. The anouncer last said, he doesn't score but he does the other things well. If you are 6' 10'' I might buy that statement but at 6' 3" you are just a liability on offense.
I don't remember the super bowl.
The Panthers won. It was historic. Commercials sucked, though.
that looks pretty nice to me...
I just ages my first bourbon. It was a kit but it was fun. I don't remember the super bowl.
Last time I saw it in person was years ago but pictures of the football weight room don't give me the impression of gorgeous a lot of cinder block and drop ceilings.
I guess I can stop considering whether to enter my stout!
Application window for this one ended on the 7th...I would like to go to the conference, I believe I will be in Charlotte that weekend seeing the Dead and Company.

True. When you know that SEC affiliation alone will get you bonus points, I guess there's no real incentive to schedule tough. I imagine Kentucky would also be reluctant to schedule another Power 5 team with Louisville already on the schedule. It may not be a great SOS boost, but I wouldn't mind a home-and-home with Vandy. Getting to go hang out in Nashville for a game would be pretty sweet, and they're at least still SEC.
