I generally agree. That's why I said he's available-ish. He is on the market, but buyer beware. Now, if he could definitively end suspicions, MAYBE he could be a candidate. I don't think he can, so I don't think he will be in consideration, but I saw that tidbit, and knowing his name had been thrown around, figured I'd share.

I think Stroman has potential on both sides of the ball and he should go wherever he fits best in the system. To me he seems to fit better on offense. I think his speed gives him so much potential with the ball in his hands or running routes. He certainly did well as a corner, but I think we have better options there.

Before someone contributes something that could spoil this one, the topic should probably get a Possible Spoiler Alert tag of some sort. I plan to see this tomorrow morning to hopefully get a less crowded theater. Wanted to do it today but it just didnt work out with a sick munchkin.

About that. Somebody fill me in. I saw Questlove posted something similar on Instagram. Apparently he wanted some fried food.

I don't want to see Strohman on the offense. He is a promising DB and punt returner and shouldn't have too much on his plate. Newsome can fill his role on the sweeps and in the slot and we have 4 freshman incoming receivers

We need someone stat. Like within the next couple weeks. I think he'll be tied up in the investigations for months.

He would be a STRONG candidate though. I'm not sure why all of the Texas coaches are dipping when they just landed one of the best 2016 classes possible.

So, I work in higher education. Looking at the research, yes, these costs aren't helping, but quite often they are funded heavily by alums and it doesn't add tremendous train on the budget. The reason debt is skyrocketing is actually financial aid. It's a very simple principle, if there is unlimited money for any commodity, the price will go up. Tuition needs to become more fixed and financial aid needs to stop giving out so much damn money.

Athletics are not even secondary if the govt did something like this. I don't know that many schools could really survive something like this. If LSU or LA Tech etc. were trying to get research grants, would you provide that $$$ if they had to shut the doors? If I were a major industry or the government, I sure as hell wouldn't want to put money into a LA school until this is resolved. There are so many things wrong with this type of bluster. Plus, what would this mean for accreditation? Or the seniors who thought they were heading to law school,, grad school or med school next year? Honestly, football should be the least of their worries.
It is ironic though, LSU boosters were going to be able to come up with the money to fire Miles and hire Fisher and now this.

Depending on what comes out about the allegations he could potentially be a very good fit. Of course it all depends on how things shake out.

There is a much, MUCH bigger discussion needed here, and one that I have been tossing back and forth in the back of my mind ever since I heard this story earlier today.

The University Spending system is a bubble that is ripe for bursting, and bursting soon. This arms race cannot continue with the fiscal issues this country is currently seeing, especially on the academic side. Costs are skyrocketing, student debt is through the roof, and yet these lavish facilities are popping up all over the place. It just can't continue for much longer without the system collapsing on itself. Well, looks like the cracks are starting to show.

Well, Chris Vaughn is available-ish. Texas didn't renew his contract, but it had to do with him being at Ole Miss during alleged recruiting violations in 2008-2011. So he's an option, but there would be risk.

I seriously doubt anything will come of it. You guys should be mostly concerned with rain

A long time ago? Jesus Joe way to make me feel old haha but no really I always loved these. I looked at it as a weekly recap thanks again for all you guys do around here

Went last night and watched it in IMAX at Frank's. Totally worth it. The action is pretty awesome and if you are into comic books at all you will probably put it in your Top 5 superhero movies. A couple of jokes fell through for me but it wasn't a big deal. There were plenty of hilarious moments to make up for it. Colossus looks awesome and is a really great addition to the cinematic universe as well. Overall, it's a great experience and a truly enjoyable movie to go see. Just make sure you're ready for a lot of vulgarity as they use that R-rating to the maximum which is what they needed to do to make a great Deadpool movie.
