Yep Ahmad Bradshaw was a Wahoo first. He was a top-10 recruit in VA, made it to campus for the Hoos and then got kicked off the team by Groh before practices even started because of an arrest. There was a lot of arrests/dismissals during those offeasons for Groh, it got bad. Remember J'Courtney Williams, 4-star linebacker, who had several arrests and eventually got charged with credit card fraud? That same season there was Mike brown who was charged with a bunch of felonies. All of this was around the same time as the Peter Lalich saga....wow Peter Lalich. Anyway, I don't know what made me think of all that, but I had met J'Courtney because he's from my home town and honestly is a smart guy. He ended up having a lot to say about UVA after he left. He told some stellar Pete Lalich stories, and actually said he honestly believes UVA doesn't have the culture on campus to be as successful in football and he realized it as soon as he got there. Sorry, went way off OT but those were some interesting years...
The students will show up if there's another standby line. I hope Whit and Co. realize this after today. The line wrapped around Cassell and halfway past Lane.

Good game for the Hokies. The Hokies were overmatched on the inside, struggled at the line, and couldn't get a board at any critical time. Yet, they showed amazing resiliency, tough D, and enough offensive flash to overcome a 20-pt deficit and even lead for short periods towards the end of the game.
If Buzz can get the players to come out hot (way too many games, VT gets in a big hole), hit more free throws, then this team will be tournament good. If they can get a few big bodies in there that can at least match-up inside, they can be solidly in the top 1/3 of the ACC in upcoming years.
This team is fun to watch (although a bit frustrating at times)... Imagine what next year will be like!
Had a ticket, but can't go now thanks to the time change. I'll be very "upset" if I miss an upset!
Just left the game. It was a really great atmosphere. Props to everyone who came out. I yelled myself out with about 2 minutes left. I had to pause and just take it all in at one point. I wish we could have that atmosphere all the time. Anyways, was a good game and if we could finish at the rim and at the line consistently we win that game.
Turned it on at the beginning of the second half and Tech was down by 6. Granted I didn't see the first half, but regardless of losing, it's amazing to watch these guys play compared to last year. Already knocked off one top 5 team and almost had another today.
The next few years are going to be really interesting to watch.
Proud of the way that the team held in there and kept fighting. However, did anyone else see Buzz run out and dunk when the ball was on the other side of the court?
They've proven they can play with anybody, can't wait till they can start to close. Blackshear showed some real maturity today!
Don't get discouraged,guys. We are only going to get better and better.
This is a team-progress win disguised as a loss. We gave UNC all we could and also their smallest margin of victory all year. It won't be long until the tables are turned boys.
Really enjoy watching this team. I hope the students show up again on Wednesday, great showing by them today.
Helluva game. I was proud of our boys for battling back multiple times. The turnovers, lack of rebounding, and missed free throws are why we lost this game. Upset to see it go that way, but I can say I have faith in what Buzz is doing.
When I used to have season tickets to ODU it seemed like they lost so many close ones and I remember my dad saying "Eventually they are going to start winning these close ones" and the next few seasons they did. Confidence, Experience, Maturity, and Chemistry all took over. This team is good enough to win and play good teams close. Double digit losses imho are unacceptable at this point. Next year I bet will be huge for us and the next few after. I believe we can finish out this year really good as well!
Boys showed a lot of heart once again, UNC is just too freaking loaded. Despite the losses, they are clearly getting better and better and gaining confidence each game.
Welp. Hell of a game though. Glad we didn't lie down after going down 20 early.

Tough loss, but really proud of our fight in this one. It really felt like we were gonna pull out another great one. I love this team.
