The EPL clubs are complaining because the EPL will not schedule games around Champions League either. SO Chelsea may play a Monday night game, then have a Champions League game 2 nights later in Germany, then a EPL game Saturday. Apparently the other leagues will schedule around the CL games.

Yes, they're having a very good season. I wouldn't look for them to win the championship though. Finishing top 3 would be huge for them though.

I just started watching last year and I have a good friend I was deployed with who is a big fan so I ask him.
Here goes what I have learned or think I have learned
Top 3 teams at the end of the year qualify for the Champions League in Europe which is the big soccer tournament over there. I believe the number 4 team also gets into the tournament but I think there is some sort of play in.
Bottom 3 teams get relegated to the next level below the Premier League and the top 3 from that league move up. Think of baseball if the bottom 3 MLB teams went to AAA and the top 3 AAA moved into to MLB.

There are no playoffs for the championship. They play a double round robin format (each play a home and home). A win earns a team 3 points, a draw earns 1 point and a loss is 0 points. The team with the most points at the end of the season wins the BPL championship and as I said earlier the top 3 auto bid to the Champions League and the 4th play in of some sort. There are a couple more that go to the Europa League as well. Bottom 3 move down.

Teams are also allowed to loan out players, so if Man U wants to send a player to Everton to play they can. Usually with the caveat that the loaned player doesn't play against the team he really belongs to.

I believe revenues are split based on TV appearances (s the rich clubs get richer so to speak). You have some power teams like Man U (owned by an American) , Man City (owned by a prince from Dubai), Arsenal and Liverpool (owned by an American) (though their mid pack this year) and Chelsea (won the EPL last year but was in danger of relegation this year). Then you have mid level teams like Everton (has an American goalkeeper) and the like.
Thats about my knowledge and some is probably a little off.

Students who habitually don't attend games after being given tickets from the lottery won't be given tickets anymore, yes.

In the novel, Plaguies is a Muun, a species with an elongated skull, which is less evident in the picture on the novel's cover. Snoke doesn't have the elongated skull of a Muun in The Force Awakens, so any similarity in appearance between the two is probably coincidental. They could obviously still connect the two, since the novel isn't canon anymore.

A true tragedy, as reported by Moriah Balingit in the Washington Post:

Trapped horses freed but homeless
Moriah Balingit 5:33 PM
A dozen horses that were trapped in a collapsed Montgomery County barn have been freed and are unharmed – though likely a little cold.

A total of 35 horses were housed in the barn, located on Sugarland Road in Poolesville, when the roof fell in at around 3 p.m. today. When firefighters arrive on the scene, a dozen horses were still trapped. Firefighters were able to clear away the snow and debris to free the horses, said Montgomery County Fire and Rescue spokesman Pete Piringer.

Back in my day, we didn't have drones to film the drillfield battles! Come to think of it, we didn't have many good snowdays, period, when I was undergrad...

Cool shots, and every time I see our campus, I wonder why I ever thought of graduating.

This is what was sent through email to the students:

Your ticket for the next Virginia Tech home basketball game has been posted to your account.

NOTE: Due to the weather, the game time has been moved up to 3 PM. A ticket is still required for admission to the game.

All student tickets including student season tickets are now posted directly online at: http://www.hokietickets.com/student/lottery/pick.php
A couple days prior to each event all season ticket holders, and all lottery winners will receive an email notifying them that seats have been posted. Once that email is received, all you need to do to print your ticket is log on and click the ticket link.

Keep in mind that you must print the ticket to be scanned at the gate for admission. There is no mobile scanning at Virginia Tech sporting events, so bringing your phone for admission will not work. Also keep in mind that since tickets are being delivered automatically to a secured account, no replacements or reprints will be offered.

NEW FOR BASKETBALL THIS SEASON: Students who win the lottery but do not use their ticket to the game potentially could miss the opportunity to attend future home games during the season. Students will be provided with reminder emails after the first and second non-attended game. After the third non-attended game, the student will be ineligible to win the lottery for the remainder of the season. If you can not attend a game, feel free to give your ticket to another student who would like to go. Any student with a valid Hokie Passport may use a student ticket. The name on a student ticket does not have to match the Hokie Passport used with the ticket.

Soooo....students still get penalized for not going. Awesome.

I'm assuming so that everyone can get out of there before the sun goes down and everything freezes again. Just speculation.

I'm super worried about what this will do for our home environment. I don't think word will get out to all the students/season ticket holders in time seeing as it's only been posted on social media and the Hokie Sports website just now.

Look for Hokiesports to update it soon, but the game is being moved up to a 3 pm tip.

Good to hear! Anyone blowing through Islamorada, just let me know - if I'm not working, we'll get a beer and chew the fat at Hog Heaven, Pierre's, Lorelei, Wahoo's, OV, etc. Ehhh...I'm kinda in my element in bars...sooo...I've managed to make friends all over town. Just pick a spot. If you are actually STAYING in Islamorada...well then...we'll call Mom's Taxi and hit them all! ha.

Either way we are in good hands I believe, good depth, plenty of guys with time in the system and have redshirted and our new coach should do better with higher rated recruits. I am excited about the coming up season!

I think Moore is likely to win the LT job, and if he does I'd really like to see Nijman redshirt. He did well last year, but he's ~30 pounds underweight and hasn't even been playing the position for a full calendar year yet.

LT-RT Nijman, Teller, Gallo, Conte, McLaughlin for first string. Moore, Osterloh, Chung, Pfaff, Clark for second string. I will go on a limb and say Mitchell, Plantin, Hoyt, T. Smith, Pettit for third string.
