I have no idea why anyone thinks this term is applicable tonight. It doesn't mean to lose. It means an absolutely inexplicable loss after elevated expectations; dropping one to an inferior team or getting absolutely pantsed. The fact that this is a one-possession game into the last 1:30 in the #1 vs. #2 National Championship game makes this term absolutely inapplicable.

Did anyone else think the he lost control of the ball during the dive, and before he crossed the pylon? It sure seemed like it once they slowed it down. Obviously it wasn't looked at because their name starts with A and ends with labama.
He didn't even really hit a hole he just outran all the angles. Wow.

I wouldn't say that, this has been a good close game the whole way. I'm not saying Clemson hasn't made mistakes, but losing to a touchdown favorite Bama team in the national championship isn't exactly a choke job.
