# | Hokies Offensive Coaches Discuss McMillian, Teller, TE's and the Recruiting Process very true but more often then not lately it seems like our drafted players have been considered in the upper echelon of recruits on these sites. (fuller (corey and kyle), exum, Carmichael are some of those who weren't 4* type guys since 2011)
See yall in the student section....Ill be in the "DBU" shirt
What's his 40? Great speed for such big feet! +1
Dude has a screw loose... excellent addition!

I will be there and more importantly hokiedad55 will be there to murder the liquor piata again.
I believe they are members of the "hokie travelers." They usually are parked a few spots to the right of the entrance, by the fence, in a maroon and white class A. We always have plenty of food and drink and the games on outside HDTV so feel free to stop by and have a drink sometime during the weekend. We will probably be there until mid afternoon on game day when we will move to the cassell lot.
We have a 4 year old daughter, a two year old daughter and a 3 month old daughter, I'm lucky enough to to have a loving caring wife who is willing to have them all alone from 5/6 am Monday till I get back Tuesday. She is the one who surprised me by signing me up for the Hokie Club and buying me a mini pass this season.

11/12? That only gives you 8-9 hours of tailgating.
From reading 11W, I'm so glad we don't refer to our players as freaks. I know it's a compliment, but it's so trite.
IMO.........

We lost five games last year by a touchdown or less, three by a field goal, and our offense stunk on ice down the stretch. We were a couple of lucky bounces away from being an 8 win team last year. An honestly competent offense would be worth more than two additional wins.
lot 18 woooo!
I started and finished many MANY hard tempo runs (uncomfortably long sustained hard efforts) right there at the start of Smithfield road. I donated much sweat and tears to that location. If you attend, please, pour one out for me.
The easiest way to get there is to turn onto Southgate and then turn left onto Duck Pond Drive, that will run right in front of the tailgate spot. If you're walking from a public lot, I highly recommend you take the scenic route and use the trails that run next to the Duck Pond, as walking along Duck Pond drive can be a bit hazardous.
I agree. I guess in my mind, it's reasonable to expect a noticeable improvement on offense given better depth/more experience/less injuries, and I really think a competent offense gets us to 8 wins. I guess to me that says that it's perfectly reasonable to expect 8 wins (personally I'd say 9, but I'm adjusting for my optimism), pessimistic to say 6 (ie. everything that went wrong last year goes even worse this year) and optimistic to say 10 wins. I'll admit this is starting to feel like semantics though.

# | Hokies Offensive Coaches Discuss McMillian, Teller, TE's and the Recruiting Process Well, he was "recruited" as a QB. Therefore...
That very last statement:

I have to be at work at 0200 (2am) Monday morning...FML! I'll probably catch a nap during lunch and power through the game Monday night with the help of Bourbon and 5 hour energy. My body will hate me on Tuesday.
I love that Malleck gets left off these lists. I just watched the Ohio St game from last year again, and Malleck is a huge reason why our 3rd down success rate was so crazy good that night. I can't wait to see that group this year, there's a lot of talent.

# | Virginia Tech Open Scrimmage No. 2 Thoughts, Plus a Conversation with Scot Loeffler If he gets that third spot he'll make waves. There's no way he won't, with offenses focusing on Ford, Phillips, and Bucky who could be in the field with him....
I'll be there with my girlfriend (VT Grad student), my dad (VT alum), and his buddy. We'll be tailgating with some other friends in the Cage (Lot 16). Plenty of home brew, craft brew, and bourbon will be flowing. I'll make sure I stop by the TKP tailgate for a bit though.

Orange effect game, bud.
