Most importantly I just hope he is Ok health-wise.
Definitely. When you've got a 20 year old football player doing an interview with slurred speech, make a drunk joke (assuming no legitimate medical issues). When you've got a 70 year old football coach doing an interview with slurred speech, pray for the best.
I am so ready for football!!
Leg for Jagsguy.
Fair enough. My real point was that transfers into VT are not at all common at VT -- and probably many other schools. And I'm going to guess that the vast majority of undergrad kids who are transferring are doing it not because they're looking for a different major; they're doing it because they're not getting and probably aren't going to get the playing they want or think they should.
Like real life, occasionally coaches make mistakes -- and occasionally internal politics can screw a player over -- but most of the time these are kids aren't getting the playing time because they simply aren't as good as the player(s) in front of them. And most programs know that there's little reason to expect that a "lateral" transfer is going to change that calculus unless there are unusual circumstances (see VT QB '14/'15).
VT is nowhere near dire circumstances at QB for 2016-2018, so I see little reason for the VT coaches to deviate from a normal recruiting strategy focusing on 2018 and beyond -- and I honestly see little reason for this kid to look at VT.
If I remember correctly, as a part of his throat surgery recovery he had to tackle some speech therapy? I assume he might have some lingering speech issues as a result of the surgery. Hoping he is ready for the start of the season, I assume yelling and hollering during practice and games is going to be an occupational hazard he cannot ignore. Most importantly I just hope he is Ok health-wise.
I noticed that a little too during his Q&A a little while ago.
One thing I did like from his Q&A was when he said we should be rotating fewer running backs this year, so there's that.
Well the depth chart does say "As of June 1" which is far before news broke that he was no longer enrolled.
is it just me or does CFB's speech still sound a little slurred?
Finally getting around to cleaning that extra fridge. So I can put all the beer I've acquired over the past few months for football season will be nice and cold when I want it. And then cleaning out the extra room in the garage to put the tv, chairs, VT gear. Making tables in a few weeks. The cornhole boards are done. Have some neons I can hang. And this year, for the first time in like 6 years, no Saturday soccer!!!! I get to watch college football. With 2 teen boys, nice to have an escape to resort to with them occasionally. Or just send them out there...
As for the beer, have a sixer of all of these in cans for the season:

No, this is what they call Purdue football. (The Midwest version of loluva football lately.)
Your twitter feed is the tits.
Never ring the bell!
Because many media members half-ass these things?
LB - the guy from BC that tackled everything
Kuechly
Well, ESPN has a knack for picking "superior" talent.
Insert obligatory "Fuck Matty Ice" comment.
A few to consider
QB - Peyton Manning, Matt Leinert, Vince Young
RB - Ricky Williams and Ron Dayne were great, as was Eddie George
WR - Larry Fitzgerald and Calvin Johnson, along with Crabtree
TE - every TE from the U, Heath Miller looked all universe against us
LB - the guy from BC that tackled everything
Still has a job?
Her work on the ACC blog not only allowed her to keep her job, but got her a major promotion to where she's now one of the lead personalities at ESPN for college football. She's now a regular on air talent for CFB coverage.

My cousin and her husband, both Tech alum, got married the day of the M. Vick WVU miracle game, listened to it on a car radio.
What he is saying is if they go to JUCO directly out of high school they will not be able to transfer into Tech in January. It is not that they won't want to or we don't want them, it is not allowed. I believe they will have to stay for at least 2 years in JUCO according to the rule.

# | QB Michael Brewer Breaks Down an Offseason Filled with Tests, Work Outs and Even a Little Fishing I'm officially excited for this season after reading that

OK, does anyone else think Brewer has nailed the TV sports correspondent look?
