Best place for Hokie football on the interwebs. Best articles, best insights...best community.
AJ McCarron is a member of the Joffrey Baratheon fan club.
I love this site because nobody takes themselves too seriously. It's a place that reminds me of the passion I share for VT football while also reminding me that it is just a game and something we do for fun.
This is a place that I come to celebrate wins and get through tough losses.
It could be argued that the people on this site who write the articles, game previews, and film studies are more informative than any "professional" site.
I, like many on here, lurked for awhile but I couldn't resist joining in on the fun. I truly love this site and everything it stands for. Thanks T-Mobile for starting this thread. It's time Joe, French, Mason and the gang get the respect due to them.
THANKS GUYS!
When they think the sandman can handle the demon horse

Pretty soon, anyone that comes across this site is just going to think we all have Tourette syndrome.
Yeah, I remember the original post. I didn't realize it was an autocorrect thing, I figured it was just a phrase I wasn't familiar with. Can anyone tell what the original intent of the phrase was?
For the horse on the treadmill, check usmchokie's link below at about the 18 second mark.
Also, usmchokie, I know it's usmc hokie, but I always read it as USM Chokie. Ugh. Nay.
AJ McCarron shouts "OHHHH" during The National Anthem
I had been a lurker for a while until I thought up the username, but I agree 100% with everything you've said. I usually stay away from fan sites for the same reasons everyone else does - first, they usually cost money, then you usually get trolls anyway.
But this community is really solid, mostly stays on the right side of classy (that mention of Katherine Webb in the AJ/Backswing thread was overboard, suggest implementing a rule about removal of posts), and has a bunch of knowledgeable folks writing interesting and in-depth analyses that don't lack for expertise. I like that we can have serious discussions, even if they get a little...contentious (chop vs cut block, anyone?) while not taking ourselves too seriously (I don't deny...the pictures of the helmet previews made me laugh pretty good).
All in all, this place is great. By far the most I've participated in an online community ever. All credit to Joe, French, Mason, Brian, BillDozer, and the rest for making this place what it is. Thanks for the mention, but really, I'm just a horse...on a treadmill.
Wow, FifthFuller this was a great read. Has a little Dave Barry style to it. Very entertaining. Keep them coming.
Y'all should pay attention here. The defending Pick Six champ makes his week 1 picks:
North Carolina +11.5
Ole Miss -3.5
Alabama -19.5 :-(
Georgia -1.5
LSU -4.5
Boise State +3.5
My fellow Adultswim fans will get a kick out of my teams name this is my second season using it, it is "Black Dynamite".
I've been listening to Finebaum for years - mostly for the entertainment value - and it is really fun to finally be a foe of one the two most Finebaum-centric fan bases. After hearing sooooooooo many ignorant Alabama fans talk a bunch of crap for years (most of which was centered on Auburn) and concluding with the droll "RAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWLLLLLLLLL TAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHDDDDD," I cannot be the only Hokie dreaming of beating the Tide in Atlanta and trolling Bama fans on Finebaum's show Monday.
This was awesome! Looking forward to it throughout the season
I am surprised tOSU agreed to that...I thought they would have enough Clout/Sense to say, 'Hell No!'

I just want to second this post, I don't know that I've ever seen a forum community like this one on ANY website before, you guys are all awesome. And agree with Mason, I've seen Joe cultivate and encourage that community not only through the content he posts but with the way he interacts with all of us. Of course, the content is pretty awesome and has helped me watch Hokie football (and other football) in a different way. So thanks, Joe, Mason, French, BillDozer, Horse, and everyone.

Beer - starting the season right with ice cold Miller Lite. I would normally go for the Vortex Bottle, but since we'll be in the parking lot of the GA Dome, I'm going to go with the punch top can. It makes for an extra smooth pour.
I don't know what I would have done this offseason without TKP. I usually go through serious football withdrawal, and this community has been the best remedy. This will be my first season as a TKP member and I can't wait to go through the 2013-2014 season with all of you!
Well, retribution might be deserved, but I did mean attribution, i.e. they deserve credit for what they created.
The Game That Must Not Be Named ended in the same score, though some say that particular game never happened anyway, just a bye week after Boise...
I'm finding it hard to go to classes already and football hasn't even started yet. I'm blaming this week on the anticipation of the season starting but I'm not sure how much I'll be going when it actually starts... Good thing most of college is online now, right?
And yeah, I hadn't seen you around before but I like your stuff. I took a hiatus (somewhat longer than I intended to) from the site and just recently started posting again. I'll probably be throwing in my own two cents at various points in the season.

I've only been contributing for a short period of time, but this has already been one of the most rewarding things I've ever done. Everybody here has been so positive and all the feedback (positive and negative) has been great. I couldn't be happier that I decided stepped out of my comfort zone to respond when Joe asked if anyone was willing to write for the upcoming season, and that's because TKP's users are without a doubt the best of any college fansite online. Joe has done an incredible job at creating a first class culture on this site.
This season is going to be a wild ride. There will be many long nights spent reviewing and previewing game film, but I'll love every second of it. What could possibly be more fun then writing and discussing my favorite thing in the world (Hokie football) with my favorite people in the world (Hokie football fans).
Will this season start already?!!
Absolutely.

Welcome to the treadmill.
