I know Manziel and LT have a very different type of mobility, but I wonder if aTms success of having their QB going "off schedule" will be a key to our game. Or will Bama have focused solely on LTs ability to beat them unscripted and not respect his ability to pass as well as Mettenberger (and on a good day, like Murray). Can LT pass like Mettenberger AND keep a play alive like Jonny?
As a UGa fan 2nd, I watched the SECCG game the closest. Lacy and that OL wore down UGAs front 7 (and back 4...) then Yeldon slit them open. Yeldon reminds me a lot of David Wilson....but does Bama have the pounder like Lacy to wear us down? A guy like Yeldon puts a premium on tackling.
Also, I got to listen to the new sound system in Lane from the MV field, and even from outside the stadium it sounds so much better. If they had tested it with Enter Sandman I might have lost my mind in the middle of practice.
I played trumpet, marched, and got sunburnt for about 12 hours yesterday. Only 6 more days till I'm yelling in the Georgia Dome and I already feel like I can run through walls from the excitement. I hope LT3, JC, and Edmunds feel the same way.

After working on the yard I played the entire Del Mar card (I discovered that horse racing is an excellent sport to pay attention to and fills the football void) and watched my beloved War Dancer lose in the Travers at Saratoga.
Kegged a Belgian Dubbel, brewed a galaxy ipa, went to watch Danville Braves, and drank homebrew like it was the first Saturday of football season.

The problem with your argument is that you are still talking about legal CUT blocks, which no one is arguing against.

Illegal blocking techniques that:
a) PJ has been accused of his ENTIRE coaching career.
b) Are extremely dangerous with the potential to end someone's career immediately
c) I have been told by a former player of his, he specifically coaches on how to get away with
And, d) As DBU illustrated dangerous and illegal crack backs
No one is arguing the semantics of the fact that CUT blocks used to be called Chop blocks. My coach used to say CHOP as well when it was a CUT block. The terminology was changed in the rule books to classify a CUT as legal and a CHOP as illegal. So when myself, and I am going to go ahead and assume DBU and Hokieshibe, say CHOP what we mean is the later, illegal classification of the two blocks.
If Paul Johnson's teams ONLY ever used CUT blocks then he would be a genius. The fact is that they do not and he coaches his kids to use illegal CHOP blocks. They rely on dirty and illegal blocking to succeed. That makes him a loser NOT a winner, and definitively not a genius.
