This is a bit surprising
not because it happened, but because of the timing. Mid-season is a strange time to ditch a coordinator.
No it's only strange to us because Beamer never does it. Schools all around the country replace coaches during the season.

Calvin Johnson was not recruited by PJ. I'm pretty sure he was gone for the NFL before Paul Johnson even got the GT job.
You are correct. Calvin was drafted in 2007 and PJ started in 2008.
