Gregory is out for Cincinatti game

Did you guys know that Tony Gregory is out for tomorrow's game?
Apparently his knee is bothering him (again).

Beamer says that Holmes is starting as we'll. I'd really like to see J.C. Coleman get hot against Cincy though. It would be nice to see us start to narrow down the RBs and allow 2 guys to get the vast majority of the work instead if spreading it around so much like we're holding auditions.

What do you guys want to see out if the backfield tomorrow?

Production.

Simple one word answer. That's what I want out of the backfield tomorrow. Production. I don't really care who's getting handed the rock as long as we're moving forward and not backward, and it gives us opportunity to set up the play action and gash their defense with it consistently.

Yeah, really I'd just love to see a consistent 5 yds/carry to take pressure off LT3 and keep the D honest.
So I guess I should be asking the O-line to step up and create some good holes for the backs to hit.

The only problem is that some of the backs don't have the vision to see the hole (if there is one). My hope is that Wang comes back from the injury and plays well, which he hasn't necessarily done in the first few games anyway.

So, basically the verdict is... We'll see. And that statement kind of makes me uncomfortable.

SCALES

I want to see Martin Scales get the opportunity to punish some defenders. I don't want to see Holmes piss away opportunities whilst getting 2 yards a carry.

I think people have jumped to an early conclusion on Holmes. I think that he will get better at reading blocks, it is his first year with playing time. You can't really blame him for a lack of push on the offensive line.
