I thought I'd gauge peoples feelings on here about autographs. As an adult fan how do you guys feel about autographs in general not these particular pay for situations.
As an adult fan after games I will sometimes get autographs. I will never sell them these are just for my personal memorabilia collection. What do you guys think

Damn phone posted twice. Any possibility getting the other one deleted
Getting 'paid autographs' will get you in trouble, so what won't get your top star looked at for his signature? Logan had his Hancock sold on the same site as Manziel (I really am sorry to say), but I personally prefer Alumni autographs to current players. Macho Harris, Royal, RU, Flowers etc. at least in my mind as (a 08-12) student play a huge part in my rooting for what Hokie Football, and at least Tyrod came to my favorite team in the Ravens, but I'm glad no one so far got caught up in the national spotlight in the autograph spotlight. Just hope no coaches and boosters get looked at
But the thing is Logan isn't getting any money out of the sale. Manziel did. Or are you saying that Logan has been getting paid himself?
who would pay for logans autograph after last season?
I've got autographs of from all the coaches in 2011 on a limited edition painting as well as a football autographed by Exum, Gayle, and Logan. I nearly got about 20 other signatures on it because it's really not that hard to get autographs. Regardless, those are for my personal collection to be displayed in my VT man cave alongside helmets, pieces of Hokie Stone, and other various memorabilia.
Getting autographs is completely fine. Manziel sat down and had autograph sessions that would be used for profits. There is a difference between asking a player for his autograph because you are wearing his jersey vs. sitting down hundreds of mini helmets to sign and sell.
I don't seek them out like I used to, but if I know someone that can get me one then I'll ask.
The trick is to not get them at the games. It's also much easier to get them from the coaches in the offseason. Players are tougher because if they are seniors, you are pretty much screwed if you haven't gotten one by November. After that they are preparing for the games, then the ACC Championship, then exams, then bowl game, and then the draft. If you are able to get players' signatures, you usually have to wait a while because it is on their time.
i never have problems getting them at games, and yea not really talking about paying for them, that is obv currently a no-no in the eyes of the ncaa. just talking about getting them in general as an adult fan vs as a child
Autographs in general I don't do much of. The only thing I really have autographed is a maroon and orange yankees hat from when they came and played at VT. I have Jeter, Aroid, Giambi, Shelly Duncan and Tony Pena. Aroid stole my silver sharpee so Jeter had to sign in black and it is hard to see. Bastard.
He probably thought he could juice with it
