Parking vs MARTA for August 31

A few people have posted about getting to the GeorgiaDome on August 31.

You can also take MARTA (the light rail system). Be careful on the train and don't ride alone! Make sure you have small bills or coins to buy tickets because the machine gives dollar coins out as change. The GeorgiaDome stop is not at the GeorgiaDome: you'll have to walk the last few blocks or take the MARTA bus shuttle (if they have one running, but they generally do for special events). The trains can also run really slowly during peak times. Given that the Braves are at home this weekend, give yourself lots of time if you take MARTA. If you're staying in a hotel, your hotel van can drop you off and pick you up at the nearest station.
