YES Network to broadcast ACC Games

I came across this today thanks to a friend of mine from Clemson. For those of you not familiar with this network, YES is a New York-based network for the Yankees, but they cover other sports around the New York area, like the Brooklyn Nets. This announcement comes on the heels of the ACC partnering with the Pinstripe Bowl in future years. This obviously leaves the possibility for VT football games to be broadcast on this network.

Two things about this:

1. I get YES Network at my home in New Jersey, and as a semi-regular viewer, I have minimal complaints about the network itself. The network is on many cable packages in Metro New York, so these games would definitely be reaching houses.

2. This is phenomenal for our recruiting. Metro New York has, until a few months ago, been relatively untouched by our recruiters. By watching our games, NJ/NY/CT recruits get a better idea of who we are, and we can begin to make bigger inroads around that area.

As always, discuss away and #goacc
