Bethel DT Ricky Walker Narrowing Offers

Walker said South Carolina and Florida State are both showing interest.

For now, Walker is staying grounded. His older brother, Rijo, went through this four years ago before signing with Virginia. But Rijo had only seven offers the word "only" is used because it's one-third of 21.

Ricky has no official timetable, but he has an idea how things will go.

"I'm about to narrow it down in the next couple of weeks," he said. "Maybe top five or, depending on how I'm feeling, a top three, something like that. And then I'll go from there."

And a commitment?

"It might be before the season, depending on how I'm feeling," he said. "But I want to take official visits, too."

Walker has played his recruitment close to the vest, so it will be interesting to see what his top schools are.

In a year where the Hokies might not end up with Hand or Brown, they could sign both Walker and Nnadi, two terrific players in their own right.
