5* challenge ol/DL

This video only made me hope for Nnadi, hand, and brown more.

Hand and Nnadi look nuts.

At the bottom of the article, it points out UVA commit Steve Moss was the biggest disappointment...

Big love for Nnadi, Brown and Hand.
If Beams and Co. could score these three, (in addition to Mihota, and others) we could do some legit damage.....
Also, Mr Prince looked like a force as well......

Oh, the possibilities.........
Thanks for posting.

Yeah, I feel that these guys clearly stood out, definitely men amongst boys. Hand was just plain nasty.

I can't lie, I find a bit of satisfaction in that the only place UVA is mentioned is in the "disappointment" category.

Imagine a dline of Hand, Brown, Nnadi, and Mihota. This is actually possible. Brown has us in top 5, Nnadi is down to us and loluva, and we're in a tight race with Michigan for Hand. Bud Foster would do way more than cartwheels if he landed this group.

Biggest Disappointment: Virginia commit Steven Moss was very underwhelming here in Chicago. The 6-foot-4, 276-pound lineman looked slow at the snap and didn't have the lateral quickness to stay in front of the defensive linemen. This was very clear because Moss was caught holding multiple times and was not able to correct this problem.

If i recall from the vid, he basically tackled people.

This also proves that he's been training for playing against VT, since that's the only way that he'll be able to stop our D-linemen...especially if we get Hand.

Take the shortest route to the ball and arrive in bad humor.

Sounds like the tradition of excellent linemen at LOLUVA continues.

It seemed like Nnadi, Hand, and Holmes all had a great camp. Great for the state of Virginia to shine. As far as Moss goes, I think he has the potential to be a tremendous lineman at the college level.

if uva had a horrible year this year, would some of their commits like moss waver at all?

Imagine, if we could just land 2 out of the 3 guys. LOLUVA wouldn't be able to just double-team Hand, Nnadi, or Brown, and it'd basically be a field day for them getting to the QB.

Aw darn, I had just changed my shorts....

Sux hand isn't coming to Tech. He really made his matchups look easy. Nnadi has always been my favorite DT. He is big and his weight looks good. He looked great in his contests.

I'll take Nnadi and Brown if Hand is the tradeoff. With those two up front, we won't need a 5* DE (granted we do have some good 4's and 3's coming in there though).

I will too. Let's just hope that's how it happens. I would even go so far to say (and this really isn't post-rationalizing... I swear!) that if I could only have 2 of the 3, I would prefer Brown and Nnadi to Hand based on on-field production and our needs (thin at DT, pretty stacked at DE). However, just from a recruiting momentum/national exposure/perception perspective, losing Hand - the overall #1 in our own backyard - hurts, regardless of on-the-field truths.

Anyway, what's done is done. Put the full press on Brown and Nnadi (and others I'm sure), and see where we end up in February. That is still a LONNNNG way away.

Hand was really good. he Handedly Handled his competition during the above video, like he was on another level. Really would have liked getting him. Sure the need is greater at tackle but I would almost guarentee this kid is going to be playing as a true freshman where ever he goes, and he would have here too. Sux to miss out on him. But at least none of the schools he is down to are on our schedule in the next 5 years.
