surprising to see louisville so high, not surprising to see uva with so many contributions. a good friend of mine works for their medical school and she told me multi-million dollar gifts are routine.

Louisville being so high is probably due to their recent success in the Sugar Bowl and wining the men's basketball championship.

They've had a strongly funded athletics program for at least the last decade. That's why the ACC invited them. Certainly wasn't due to their academics (otherwise, wvu might be playing ACC ball now too).
