Not sure how many have watched Boykin with the Packers the last month, but since he has gotten a chance, he has had three games of 89 yards or more in the last four games. He has 362 yards on the season thus far, with his latest big game of 112 yards coming with both the starting and backup QBs out of the game. Really happy to see him getting a legit chance for playing time. It may decline some this week with James Jones set to return from injury, but I hope he has done enough to get some regular rotation.

I've been waiting for him to get a shot. I picked him up in fantasy as soon as Randall Cobb went down (mostly because I also had Randall Cobb) and he's been exceeding my expectations ever since, even when I knew he'd be capable of good things once given the chance.
I usually try to avoid picking up Hokies out of homerism since they tend not to do well or otherwise become letdowns (a la DW4 this year, and MV7 about 2/3 of the way through EVERY year). But, he's been given an opportunity to showcase his talents while the rest of the Packers' very deep WR corps gets healed up.
I did the exact same thing. I think he's now set in stone as Green Bay's #4 WR even when all the others get back, which means he'll still get a fair number of reps.
I doubt Cobb is going to be back to full speed at all this year, and James Jones hasn't exactly lit it up since his return.
Also, Boykin seems to be their 3rd stringer's favorite target. For whatever that's worth.
Could this stem from the likelihood of Boykin's the one that the 3rd stinger throws to the most in practice & drills?
You make a very good point there, hadn't thought of that.
It may also just be that Boykin is the biggest guy he has to throw to at this point with the injuries to Finley, etc. He almost definitely has the largest hands....
I've said it before, but my completely blind homerism out of being a hokie and a packers fan is absolutely loving what boykin has been able to accomplish so far
Yeah..Rouse didn't really pan out in the green and yellow unfortunately
That made me said. I still think he would have been a formidable counterpart to Morgan Burnett. Or a very, very scary replacement.
But he DID win a UFL champio.... I'm sorry I can't even finish the joke. Yeah it was too bad he didn't pan out
That's huge numbers playing with the third string QB..he is going to have a bright future. No doubt about it! Those hands will get after'ya!
