Any redskins fans here?

Got one right here. It's a tough life to live, man.

Man im watching this game and I see some serious glaring weaknesses. Like our Oline and our entire defense. Im also thinking coaching change and an OC change. Chip Kelly is a great playcaller

I'm not ready to jump ship on the coaches yet but problems/catastrophes involving "our Oline and our entire defense" is exactly what has been going through my head the past few weeks. I think GMs have to be a problem too. Like they just said on Fox, our salary caps have taken a hit and it's tough to build up a team without any top draft picks either. Reed and Morris are going to be the real deal though, I think.

I hate the playcalling to tho. Its been very suspect. Throwin on 3rd and 1. And doing stuff of that nature. The cap penalty did hurt us, but we seriously need a line. We have talent on defense but I don't think haslett or the 3-4 is what the skins need. And we wont have a 1st round pick for another yr lol

Yeah I feel you there in short yardage. We've got Young and Morris who have proved they can grind out yardage when needed. I guess that comes back to poor line play. I cringe every time Polumbus misses a goddamn block and Griffin gets drilled.

Panthers fan. For once I actually look forward to Sundays nowadays.

In Sam Rogers we trust.

panthers defense is legit. I love what they are doing there

At least y'all have a fairly recent Super Bowl appearance though.

True. But the past few years they have crushed my heart in the 4th quarter. This year ever since the Buffalo game they have straight up buried teams in the 4th quarter.

NFL teams play 4 quarters? The Redskins' games usually look over by mid-third quarter.
But in all seriousness, I feel you on that.

LOL so true.

Panthers fan here too. :)

I support Logan Thomas and make no apologies for it.

Tomorrow night can't come fast enough.

Watching offensive play of the Redskins is as painful as watching the Hokies this year. Neither team can get over the hump. Looking forward to watching basketball and seeing the young Hokies grow up on the court.

Oh gosh, basketball season. I'll have to have all my patience gathered for that. I think we'll see a lot of maturation and improvement from the bball team this and upcoming seasons, but they will not be easy to watch by any means.

Woah, Redskins storming back.

In Sam Rogers we trust.

Hoping for a replay review to actually go one of my teams' way this weekend. Redskins and Hokies and the replay booth don't get along too well.

Going to Atlanta in December to watch the Skins and Falcons. When we bought the tickets before the season we thought it would be the game of the year between two division leaders. Now it may be two basement dwellers. If I had waited we probably could get some real cheap seats instead of paying high dollar for the seats.

Rule #1 of being a Skins fan that I live by: Forever keep expectations low. You can only be right or pleasantly surprised.

I do the same thing with the Hokies. Andrew Ford is likely to be the worst Quarterback ever.

You have to be kidding me? Your QB came back from a brutal knee injury way to soon and your defense has been suspect since last season. I mean you give up 3 first round draft picks to get your QB and then play him on a already hurt knee and then rush him back to the field. Way to protect your investment.

The Skins problems are an always will be Dan Snyder. He trades away all your picks and tries to supplement them with over paid FAs. The key to winning in the NFL is consistent good drafting and cutting bait with old vets at the right time. Washington has not been good at doing either in a very longtime. I can't even remember when the last time they had a full draft was.

The team's biggest problem right now is having to try and over-hull a completely terrible roster with 36 million dollars less than every other team because the Giants didn't like them.

There's always a lighthouse. There's always a man. There's always a city.

Blame the Giants all you want, but your
cap miss handlings for the past 15 years under Snyder have killed your team.

Regardless of previous years, it's hard to improve a team when you're being penalized for breaking rules that didn't exist.

There's always a lighthouse. There's always a man. There's always a city.

Come on. If half the league abused the uncapped year like the Skins and Cowbys did then, I can see how you would feel singled out. The fact of the matter is that the Skins and the Cowboys are the only teams that did so. Both teams poorly manage their cap, so it's not surprising. As long as Snyder and Jones are running their front offices, each team will never win anything special because they are to hands on.

No, the fact of the matter is the owners allowed the league to have an uncapped year. Meaning there was no salary cap. The Redskins spent according to those rules.

A year after the fact, the rest of the league got together and decided they didn't like that, so they penalized them for breaking rules that did not exist. In the real world outside of the secluded fraternity of NFL owners, that's called collusion, and is against the law.

So yes, the Redskins in the past have been terrible with the cap. But I can still be upset for being penalized for not breaking any rules, in what should have been an illegal decision.

There's always a lighthouse. There's always a man. There's always a city.

There were seven teams identified to have broken the "unwritten rule" even though the League office still processed the contract changes so if it had actually been a rule, then shouldn't the NFL have disapproved the changes which is within their power to do?

There were only four teams punished though, the Redskins were hit with $36 million in cap hits, the Cowboys $10 million. The Raiders and Saints were punished in that they did not receive the equal division of the $46 million in cap space that was then given to all the other teams in the league. So the owners that were voting were being told, vote yes to punish these guys and receive an additional $825,000 in cap space for your team for the next two years or vote no and don't receive any additional money. Who is going to vote no to that?

That said, the only part of this process that bothered me was that the arbitrator(who is supposed to be legally bound and neutral) ruled that the penalty must be ok because the Players Union agreed to it. The Players union only cared that the salary level wasn't going to be reduced across the league and after seeing how poorly they negotiated against the NFL regarding the concussion lawsuits, its no wonder they didn't fight this concession about the salary cap hits.

They built me up just to knock me down. Today was like losing twice. I hate my team. But I just keep coming back...

It was a catch

That hatred is called love.

Sadly, it's been a tough weekend for football for me. Even my son's pee wee football team lost in the semi's. Rough times, bro.

Philadelphia Eagles fan here. We are no good either, but at least the Cowboys still suck.

As a cowboys fan, I hate Jerry Jones.

Thank god...eff that guy

It's a tough life being a skins fan sometimes.

Yeah I feel your pain, typically it's especially tough for 11 to 12 games of the 16 game season.

Being a Hokie/DC sports fan can be downright depressing at times. Especially the last couple years

Our motto bringing spirit true, that we may ever serve you

Think maybe they're do for a name change (and this is an honest question)?

DFWTF...DON'T FUCK WITH THE FULLERS

The one part of the Philly game that I thought was amazing was when the broadcast crew showed what the $18 million cap hit equals on the Philly roster in terms of talent. There were nine starters on that list including the starting (backup) QB, starting running back, two starting wide receivers and two starting offensive lineman. I think this is the first time I have seen an actual list like that.

All the other times have just been the hypotheticals so it was good to see something solid:
The Redskins would have actual starting safetys
The Redskins would have a legit number two receiver
The Redskins would actually have three offensive lineman that could start for any team in the league.
