Let's take a chill pill

We lost a game today. The Earth is still turning, life moves on. Let's stop with the world-ending doom and gloom and blaming Sean Glennon for the fact that Logan Thomas didn't play well and blaming Logan Thomas for every single problem Hokie football has. We are better fans than this. Let's not sink to the level of other teams' fan sites and have a full-on meltdown. At the end of the day, we're still bowl eligible. We can still finish this season strong.

A chill pill an ice cold one and some shots of American Honey.

DFWTF...DON'T FUCK WITH THE FULLERS

Some of us have exams on Monday. (Me) And therefore cannot have an ice cold one and I am forced to not only suffer through this loss, but I now must study my ass off and take a major exam (only 1 of 2 for the entire course). But I have taken said "chill pill" and now am just wholling(?) in self pity.

What is this studying you speak of? I did no such thing in college. But I guess I need to work on my grad school exam that's due Monday.

And it's wallowing.

Live for 32. Ut Prosim. Let's Go, Hokies.

No none was done in college. Grad school/medical school hybrid program exam = major studying. Thanks for the spelling help. Not to mention that my spelling and grammar were atrocious to begin with, but currently the major things on my mind consist of action potentials, muscles, hormones and what could go wrong with all of them.

Hang in there.
It's a just an endurance test in the end.

Thanks a lot! Always cool to meet a Hokie physician! I'm not actually in medical school yet, I'm going through the application process right now. The grad school program I am in we take most of the MS1 medical school courses in order to enhance my application. Regardless, it is a ton of work, and I appreciate the encouragement!

The ice cold one BEING the actual chill pill.

wait, you have class on veteran's day?

Well monday isn't veteran's day that's next week, but yes I do.

Exactly. Life moves on. I still have a roof over my head, am financially stable, and (most importantly) my children are safe and healthy. I was angry while the game was happening, but have since moved on. There's nothing I can personally do to change the way the team plays - I will cheer for them when they're playing, but I won't let it consume my life. I don't want to become like so many of the Wal Mart Wolverines around me.

I got some yard work done, had a great work out, my daughter learned to ride without training wheels, got some family time in and I get to sleep in past 5AM tomorrow.....may even get a trail ride in tomorrow.
And somewhere back there is the fact that my Hokies lost today.

Perspective.....

Exactly. Much as I hate we lost again, I didn't even get to watch it either. Wife got called off work, she works weekends, so we got family time in all day today. As much as I love to watch the Hokies, good or bad, I have family time that matters more. Wins are just icing on the cake.

No way, a guest of mine who came up for the PSU/Illinois game had the same comment....his niece learned to ride without training wheels yesterday.

We can still beat BooVa/LOLUVA. There is that bright spot to hope for.

Glad to see some reason and calm today.

There's always a lighthouse. There's always a man. There's always a city.

Exactly. In the future, when I look back at this week, I'll remember it for hearing my first child's heartbeat for the first time. For finally getting my immersion circulator in the mail & having a sous vide ribeye. We lost a football game. The world continues to turn.

Sorry that was NOT supposed to npbe a down vote. Damn Ipad. Kept refreshing the page as I clicked. My bad. Up vote again.

Rrrfgshfhfhfds. Can't even type. Not supposed to be. Wow

When I read the Wilkes comment and saw the downvote I was thinking, "damn somebody is salty." Then I read your reply. Glad to know nobody is hating on the gift of life.

🦃 🦃 🦃

He just downvoted him because he's jealous of the immersion circulator.

Congratulations! What an awesome experience!
Oh, yeah and the heartbeat thing is pretty cool too. (jk......)

Amen!
