To go in conjunction with the Thanksgiving Sides thread, I thought I would check in with you all to see what football related Thanksgiving Day traditions you all may have. i.e. Backyard football, game watching traditions, etc.
Aside from going to the UVA/VT game every year, my favorite is the annual "Go throw football with the brother in the backyard and question why we are not playing in the NFL for making incredible throws every damn time" football toss.

My brothers and I partake in the Cul-de-sac bowl every year. Usually a 2-on-2 matchup that lasts about 15 min before somebody rolls an ankle or something...they're all a lot older than me and get worn out/bored pretty quickly.
My extended family plays a charity football game for fogeys. I haven't admitted to crossing that boundary yet
My tradition used to be watching Barry Sanders do Barry Sanders things while John Madden stumbled over convoluted metaphors, then taking an afternoon nap; then eating again.
But alas, those are bygone days, a simpler time really...
Backyard football used to take place, but now we all just drink Buds in front of a terrible Lions game and try not to fall asleep
everybody in my family tends to get uncomfortably full and fall asleep watching the lions or boys.
on friday after thanksgiving on my dad's side the men always went deer hunting and the women always went shopping.
Watching football. Watching more football (Go Pack Go). Face stuffing. And as of a couple of years ago, heading out after said face stuffing to camp out for Black Friday shopping
Drinking, Eating, Sleeping, Drinking, Eating....Gonna do it big this year since I was in Assbagistan last year for Turkey Day. Fucking Rivalry weekend too!!!
Thank you for your service, Ranger!
Should be a great weekend of football - the bama/auburn game should (could) be one for the ages!
Thanks man, and no need to thank me. I enjoy the hell out of it.
