Solid effort from the majority of the team. Hopefully Ben heals up soon, they need him in the rotation. It's clear Cadarian needs to learn from his mistake on Tuesday and move on, because with the way fouls are going to be called this year, we need as much depth as possible. JVZ had a pretty good game hustle wise, but getting fouled out against a team that he outsized by at least 4 inches and only scoring 1 point, just shouldn't happen. Greg Donlon with a nice little shot at the end. It's nice to see guys like him not only have a chance to get in a game at the end, but also knock down shots.
Didn't get to see the game. What was his mistake Tuesday? All I can see is that he played for three minutes and got one rebound.
He was pulled for not hustling and then refused to go in when JJ was going to put him back in. That is why he didn't play the second half or today. He still practiced with the team Wednesday so hopefully that means it was just a one game thing and he will be back next Tuesday for Winthrop.
Ah damn I'm such a bad room mate he finally gets in and scores and I didn't pay attention. I think part of JVZ fouling out is from learning to adjust to the new rules this year and hopefully Cadarian will learn. Adam Smith stepped up big time with 28 points.
It's really annoying that I thought we'd finally have depth after 3 years of going 8 deep at most, and then two key contributors from last year refuse to play (Rankin and Raines). We'll see what happens with Raines, hopefully he learns and puts it behind him. We can't afford to lose depth considering our obvious lack of talent.
I wouldn't say Rankin is refusing to play so much as he is just not ready the play and the coaches are not going to force it. The kids health and well being is more important than a game, especially non conference games.
Uhh...no. It has nothing to do with his health.....physical health anyway.
I think he means mental, the kid has been through a lot during the off season.
What's the deal with guys not playing? The players all seemed super happy when JJ was hired, do they now have a problem with him?
