I agree with you, but unfortunately the talking (empty) heads on the world wide leader won't see it that way. Tech needs to get there offense to be at least average before we can talk about being a very good team right now.

Well, I hate to say it but there isn't a team left on the bama schedule that can beat them..$ec title game will be a rematch. I got bama vs Oregon or bama vs Virginia tech if we can put the offense together.

We still have Miami, which will be tough, they'll be highly ranked when we play them. Add that and Clemson, plus consistent wins and I could see it. I'm not saying its definite, but crazier things have happened.

And don't discount other teams taking themselves out of top 25 ... Like Nebraska or Wisconsin this week. For all we know, Michigan could also have dropped down the ladder if Akron could only hang on.

2007 was also the "Year of the Upset", if I'm not mistaken, where more "AP-upsets" (lower-ranked or unranked AP poll teams beating higher ranked teams) than any other year, and #1 and #2 BOTH lost games the same week multiple times. Also known as the year of the "curse of #2" or something.
That's not going to happen again.

IIRC, the year of the "curse of #2" also occurred in 2010. That was an entertaining year, and most of the reason why Auburn and Oregon were able to rise so high after being ranked so low to start the season.

Sad but true, so looking forward to VT's offense being able to score efficiently. Not sure what it will take, but being able to run the ball and hit short passes would be a nice start. Every week something bites them in the butt. Bad kicking and no running lanes this week, drops previously, when do they break the code and score points? Please let it be soon so that Bud does not have a stroke or choke somebody out.

He kept talking about the issues he had last game, with the defense being tough and what not. Said he had two really tough games this year with quality opponents. I'm paraphrasing, I'm sure someone can find the video (I'm not as quick on that as some).

I was watching last night, I think it was the halftime show of Wisconsin/AZSt right before bed. And Mark May said exactly what I claimed someone would say two weeks ago. Speaking of Alabama's offense, he said something along the lines of, 'Alabama really fixed the offensive line problems they had against Virginia Tech two weeks ago. The Aggies defense couldn't get any pass rush and the line blocked well for TJ Yeldon. Saban really adjusted well and fixed the offensive line'.
