When Ruffin McNeill came to ECU from Texas Tech he brought Lincoln Riley as his offensive coordinator. Riley coached for 7 years under Mike Leach at Texas Tech, and installed the Air Raid offense, made in part famous at Texas Tech, in Greenville. They've had success, just less success against Bud Foster.
In the teams three meetings since McNeill was hired, ECU has averaged almost 16 points per game less than their season average against the Hokies.
