Thomas finished the game 25-for-43 for 258 yards, with two touchdowns and one pick. He said he did better with his progressions, something he said is still relatively new for him. It wasnt an emphasis under the old offensive coaching staff.
"We would have progressions, but they werent talked about in the same way as we talk about them now," Thomas said. "They really run the offense, they run how we throw the football, so I feel a lot more confident and a lot more comfortable in this new way."
Reading this (well, along with a lot of other things discussed on TKP) makes me very happy. Further validates the ineptitude as a result of the previous offensive staff.

Throw in some of Duane Brown's comments from a year or so ago about, you know, watching film and stuff to get better as a pro, and you just have to stare back at the past with mouth agape and wonder at what might have been.

This is what gives me confidence in Logan's ability for this season.

I have been convinced, even back to the Ricky Bustle days, that the coaches were either committed to a single read then run passing game, or a scramble, hold on to the ball, and break open. There was no sophistication or emphasis on making multiple reads and then throwing on time when a receiver makes the correct cut. It was incredibly lazy "my athlete can beat your athlete" coaching, and when their athlete wasn't better (see 2005 vs Miami) the whole offense sputtered.

You know what's not lazy? Mr. Tariq Edwards. That is some bundle of quick twitch fiber right there. Just watched your film you graciously posted. Those two plays Bitter talked about in his blog...Good Lord. Healthy Tariq is scary.

Did you see our 2 minute offense against Boise? It was 4 WR deep, RMFW out of the backfield in the flat, and oh-dear-Lord-Tyrod-please-do-something. Literally the same exact thing I do in pickup or intramural games.

Beat me to it!
This reminds me of Duane Brown talking about how he didn't learn technique in college.
Sad horse is sad.

Hear. Hear. Very lazy indeed.

In other words, backyard football.

Stiney: "I don't know what do to. Put Coale and Tyrod on the field and call a scramble drill"
I'm happy with redshirting Corey Marshall, it honestly makes a lot of sense. I'll update the 2015 recruiting post.
So when does Logan throw his fifth and final pick? Do you think he will make us wait a while or get it out of the way this weekend?
Might as well get it out of the way to get ready for ACC play
That's right! Logan, you're capped at 5-interceptions!
We should have reached the quota for season ending injuries for the next few years in one season.
