If history is any indication, we're gonna score 20 points (somehow). So how about 35-17 with our offense finally coming together? It's not likely, but I'm a homer.

"The Hokies' offense has been brutal through four games, with Thomas shouldering the bulk of the criticism -- for good reason. He's completing fewer than 50 percent of his passes with just four TDs to go with six interceptions. But when Thomas is sharp, there's hope. On Tech's three scoring drives vs. Marshall last week, he was 10-of-13 for 106 yards. The rest of the game, he was just 8-of-10 for 75 yards. One key may be running Thomas more often. He had 23 rushing attempts against Marshall -- nearly double his total from the first three games combined. "
The rest of the game he was only 80% for just under 10 yards per pass. That's not sharp enough, apparently.

There's a typo in there somewhere. The idea that there's good reason for Thomas to be shouldering the bulk of the criticism is laughable, but he definitely didn't go 8/10 on non-scoring drives.

You forgot to factor in the ESPN coefficient. The ESPN coefficient can be any number you want, applied any way you see fit; so it actually makes perfect sense.
Don't worry, it's an honest mistake. Turkey leg anyway for your efforts.

"...with Thomas shouldering the bulk of the criticism..."?? Seriously? Not a lot of analysis in that "analysis", is there?
I'll be the first to admit that I'm screaming at the TV (with my inner voice - no use unduly frightening the family!) when LT misses a wide open receiver, or throws to the wrong receiver, or a receiver in double coverage. But let's be fair, How many of his receivers have dropped balls, run bad routes, failed to fight for a jump ball, or just plain quit running?

Honestly, those were pretty fair predictions from what we've seen. The defense can hold the bees off and the offense has been sluggish. If the defense or special teams can score points we probably win. That or if the defense plays well and the offense finally clicks and stays on the field.

I think the offense will sustain drives...until it's in the red zone. They've shown that all season. We have had less 3-and-outs this year but we're not scoring when the field is compressed. Red Zone O is what's killing us...and it's been that way for years.

I predict Journell gets a chip on his shoulder and relearns his ability to concentrate in the clutch.
GT scores early then the new D players get the physical hang of what they've been taught. O-line makes some holes on the first series and VT starts with 3.
Endgame is the GT QB gets tired by the end of the 3rd Q and GT offense stalls.
CB and LB get at least 1 INT and good field position.
Our bigger, more athletic QB spreads passes and rushing around so we're fresher at the end of the game.
23 or 26 pts for VT and a win.
3 or 4 field goals, a D or ST Touchdown and an offensive TD.

34-13=10?
Man, my engineering professors are gonna be so confused when they learn that.
I think that should be 8/20 for the rest of the game, which is certainly not sharp enough.

24-21 except the good guys win.
if we can kick field goals, there is plenty of hope!
