It appears the ladies will be getting a pretty solid player in Sidney Cook, who was named to the Big East All Freshmen team. 6.5 Points/6.5 Rebounds per game. Needs to work on her free throws, so she should probably practice with the men's team since they need to spend time doing that as well. I cant find much on her decision to transfer so she may be putting in for a hardship waiver since she is from Parkton, N.C. which brings her a lot closer to home. She has three years of eligibility remaining after redshirting last year. She was the 63rd best player in the Class of 2012 so it seems Wolff will be getting a big boost between his incoming class and this transfer.

So, it has come to this.
So i'm on the Male practice team for the womens team, which basically means we just scrimmage them about twice week to help them improve. Last week we played with her in pick up basketball with the rest of the team. She can play. there's no other way to really describe it. She's long and athletic, can handle the ball and has a good shot. She'll be a great addition
Hokiesports has finally made the official announcement on this transfer. Seems pretty ridiculous that this announcement has been made while no official announcement still on the hiring of Coach Chew, Coach Roccaforte, or DBO Jeff Reynolds.
In addition to all the new recruits, we have some attrition as well as both Lauren Evans and Serafina Maulupe will transfer. Both saw their minutes diminish as the year went on, but both were contributors and with the graduation of Tellier, guard is looking a little thin with only Hill and Conyers on the roster currently for the 2 spot and Rachel Camp arriving this fall. I don't believe either has settled on where they are going, but best of luck to them as they finish up their college careers.

Evans is transferring to Arizona. I wasn't aware of Maulupe leaving as well but apparently she is going home to California to play at Cal State Northridge.
