#Hokies DL coach Charley Wiles says walkon Wade Hansen will work with OL this preseason.— Mike Barber (@RTD_MikeBarber) August 12, 2014
If Woody Baron is unable to play and redshirts due to his offseason right ankle surgery, then Tech will most likely end up playing a true freshman DT in its two-deep.

This is interesting, wasn't there a decent bit of buzz in the spring about Wade Hansen maybe having some potential on the DL?
Wade would make a better TE. IMO.
While I thought that Hansen didn't have the upside that Mihota and Walker have, Hansen being serviceable may have allowed Walker and Mihota to get the shirt and perhaps make the DL stronger in the long run. With reports that Woody Baron will practice today and may be able to play this year, that means they feel he will be the 4th DT (Maddy, Marshall, Williams). Does the pronouncement that Walker "will play" mean he has jumped ahead of Mihota in the rotation as well?
As for Hansen, he is a big, long kid with great reach. It will be interesting to see if he can get himself into position to factor in at tackle when Gibson and Shuman graduate. He had a pretty good spring at DT.
Doe Hanson have 2 or 3 years of eligibility left?
I believe 2. They list him as a redshirt-junior.
