This makes me feel good!

I know that this doesn't mean anything, but it still feels good!

The Hokies need to get Josh Sweat to be in the top ten.
HokieNation wants Josh Sweat.

Sweat, Deberry, Taylor, Settle, Burrell, Dalton, and Prince would give us a Top 10 class most likely. Just Sweat won't do it. It would put us definitely in the top 25, maybe top 20.

I imagine we'll finish around 15-20 if we get Sweat. Settle, Burrell, Dalton, Prince, Deberry ain't happening though.

Didn't say they were happening, just that we would need all of them to get a top 10 class.

Was just looking at this as well. Trevon Hill being moved up to a 92 grade by 247 is awesome.

“These people are losing their minds. This is beautiful.”

Now we need Notre Dame and Alabama to offer him and he'll magically become a 4-star on the rest of the sites

Hell, if Miami even shows interest nowadays, the kid is a guaranteed 4.5 star

"When I was growing up, Virginia Tech was a school that was kicking ass and taking names, and it's time we get back to that" - James Franklin

So how many 4* recruits does that make now that Hill got one?

just 2. him and mook.

Ummmmmm! Moved up to 7th spot in ACC .

To be honest, I don't care about the class rankings as long as the Team gets the players it needs to run the systems they want to. We know that our coaching staff will make them into NFL players the stars don't matter.

Agreed. But it's not a coincidence that the teams at the top of the recruiting charts are usually winning a lot of games. Also, the perception of a highly ranked recruiting class may influence other top recruits to join.

VT has a history of NOT being in the top 25 in recruiting classes, yet perennially being in the top 25 in the rankings...that's called GOOD COACHING, gentlemen!!!

Ready for this season to start!

Really? I thought that we were always like 22 or 23 inn the rankings.

Per 247...fyi 2012 was Shane's first recruiting cycle

Question: after we get a top 20 class, why does there always seem to be a am mouth drop off the year after?

True Hokies STICK IT IN!!!

STICK IT IN Army of Virginia Tech

We do have a history of being right around 25-30 though, which is why it's nice to see that we are in the top 30 as opposed to being behind Wake Forest.

that's actually depressing to read and realize...

"...sticks and stones may break my bones but I'm gonna kick you repeatedly in the balls Gardoki!"

And imagine what this coaching staff could do with Top 10 recruiting classes.

We've always done more with "less," just imagine how much more we could do with more.

"Exit light..."

Imagine what Bud could do with a combo of Hill, Gaines, Taylor, and Sweat. Just a scary thought for opponents.

In Sam Rogers we trust.

Then we've already failed. We have missed out on many of our top targets.

No, we just didn't get some of our first choice guys. We can still get guys to run our systems who aren't our first choice guys. You're not going to get everything you wanted in life. Sometimes you have to put up with a second choice, or make something work. We're still far from being unable to run the systems we want based on our recruiting classes for our next couple years.

That escalated quickly.

Five star get after it 100 percent Juice Key-Playing. MAN

I'm noticing a trend in your .gifs, french. And i must say that i like it. classic movie.

It is nice to read positive news in the recruiting world. Thanks for sharing!
