So last evening after the Redskins game on ESPN, they did a piece on the Braxton Miller injury. First and foremost, I never wish injury upon anyone; I hate to see anyone go down, especially a special talent who I'm sure will be exciting to watch on Sundays to come.
That being said, David Pollack (former UGA linebacker/ESPN CFB analyst) came on and spoke for a minute about the VT / OSU game.
To paraphrase:
-The very first thing he said was "This Virginia Tech game in week 2 just got a lot more interesting"
-"A Bud Foster defense is going to give fits to a new QB" (From what I saw it looks like a battle between a R-SO and a Freshman?)
-"With OSU losing a few O-lineman, defense is now the deciding factor"
-"The last thing a QB with no experience wants to see... a Bud Foster defense in week 2"
-It's nice to hear these analysts give credit to our football team. They could have easily done a 5 minute segment on "Now they won't get past MSU..... Now they won't get past the Big 10 Championship... Now they won't have one of the 4 lucky playoff slots."
We have a fighting chance "pending our QB, kicker, and health" , and it's nice to hear ESPN'ers talk about us on the main stage.
