For tonight, re-reading some of these articles (you guys have slammed us with awesome stuff today) and watching A&M/USCe. Tomorrow night is food prep for game day.

I wanted to watch this game so badly but now because verizon doesnt have shitty $EC Network, im screwed over and have to settle for the MSU/Boise St. game. Still should be a good game but still, not aTm/USC-e calibur
edit: I don't have the extreme or ultimate fios packages

Well that is true, but I was also speaking in terms of the whole season with the $EC network taking a lot of the primetime games. Screw it, wings and beer it is tonight!

What time are you leaving? I've never driven from Nova to Blacksburg (only been a passenger), and I'm not sure how long it'll take. I live in Falls Church about a mile from 66.

I am
-putting the decals and another coat of polyurethane on the new cornhole game
-drinking coffee
-rewatching last year's VT Miami game on WatchESPN
-finalizing the grocery list
-sanitizing the coolers and making sure my tailgating tool kit is packed properly
-setup the canopy to make sure there are no maintenance issues and cleaning it and
-doing the last preps on an article for here to publish tonight.

What the hell was I watching that I don't remember this? That is ridiculous. It's not just difficult to hit those high notes, it's nigh impossible. That's some mastery. Also, I don't think the video does it justice, as it seems tweeked up a few Hz.

Never mind the wind, crappy stadium acoustics, TV sound, etc. Funny part is that at the beginning you're thinking "hey this is pretty nice" and then at 1:35 it's like "holy shit this guy is GOOD!" A true genius at his craft. As soon as he finished I told Mrs. Freefall that "from now on, the national anthem should only ever be played by a lone trumpeter."

FOOTBALL WILL BE WATCHED!!
reminds me of this for some reason...
I watched Georgia State and Abilene Christian last night and I don't care who knows.
same and it was glorious
me too!
I read this as if you gave it in a football addicts anonymous meeting. Proud of you for sharing.
I'm a junkie too. Watched that and have been watching the Canadian Football League games AND all the high school games that E$PN has been showing.
EDIT: Oh, and tonight I will be going to the CMU vs. Chattanooga game..
Counting the hours until Hokies play!53hours, 35minutes.
We made it.
It feels like Christmas Eve as a child right now. The football season is upon us, and yes, our game may be 2 days away, but....
Ahh screw it

To the bar!! Then demand they change the TV to the game. And only order water and an appetizer for the full four hours you're there.
That's what we do. We truly embody the life of the broke grad student.
Well that is true, but I was also speaking in terms of the whole season with the $EC network taking a lot of the primetime games. Screw it, wings and beer it is tonight!
My day so far...
I woke up, went to cycling class with my roommate at 7am.
Didn't even care how horrible it was because I realized that IT'S COLLEGE FOOTBALL DAY.
AND I'll be at Williams-Brice tonight.
AND I get to go home this weekend. AND it's my birthday tomorrow. AND the Hokies play on Saturday. AND it's not a nooner. AND we're #RIBS tailgating.
Welcome back College Football. I've missed ya.
Oh, we're tailgating after USC v. aTm because we all still have class before the game... Boo grad school.
First, I plan on cracking open a beer, or two - throw a steak on the grill, and relax to the pure joy of the start of the best time of the year.
I'll be packing up tonight to be Southbound to Staunton tomorrow night, then 'On My Way To See The Hokies Play' departing at 7am on Saturday morning
I have to work until 10:30. Guess I have to settle for the Washington State or the Arizona State games.
Can't wait to leave early from work tomorrow to beat 66 west traffic en route to see the Hokies play Saturday!
What time are you leaving? I've never driven from Nova to Blacksburg (only been a passenger), and I'm not sure how long it'll take. I live in Falls Church about a mile from 66.
without traffic 3.5-4 hours.
without traffic won't be an option tomorrow. it's a holiday weekend
oh trust me I know, i meant to add insert nova traffic joke here

Playing ice hockey. Then watching football. Both will involve beer.
That seems dangerous...
This is true, except I don't have a wife...
In honor of the start of the 2014 (D1A) season, I give you one of the greatest national anthem renditions ever:
LET'S GO!!
Yeah, buddy.
It is no piece of cake to hit those highs, let alone as solidly as that.
My two favorite anthem performances:
#2: Gaither Vocal Band (Bill Roth had a link to this on his twitter account some time ago. Not a game performance, but...wow!)
And #1 (and it ain't even close) Whitney
