of course, #sources but...
Would not be surprised at RB attrition but I would have thought it would be Joel Caleb. sucks either way but hopefully whoever it is finds someplace that is a better fit.

I'm not shocked at all. With 5 different RBs in the fold this year (JC, Trey, Shai, Marshawn, Caleb) Mangus was clearly the odd man out. He's really good through, he'll have a great career somewhere else.

Ugh. I've been a big Mangus fan since I first saw him run. He always just had the look of a guy with the right mindset to be a running back for us, just a really natural and exciting running. I'll continue to be a fan of his wherever he ends up. I wish he could have seen the field more, with the right experience I think he has a chance to get to Sundays. Will take work, but best of luck to the guy and I hope he excels wherever he ends up.
As long as it isn't in LOLtown or Cousinville

Me too horse. He was always a player I kept my eye on whenever he did touch the field. Shame he never settling in at least returning kicks, but... oh well. If he goes 1-AA, he is going to put up huge numbers. I always felt he was just a really talented back.

Too bad, he was a good running back but the situation he was in didn't really help anyone. I hope him the best in finding a school and excelling wherever he ends up.

Damn, always hate to see it when a Raleigh guy doesn't make it at Tech, but I can't disagree with his thinking here. Unless he was willing to move positions, with the influx of legitimate good RBs this past recruiting season, he was going to end up buried on the depth chart.
Good luck to him wherever he ends up.

Looking at the free message board on vtscoop, it looks like Chris Mangus is transferring

We'll be fine. Anyone know where he's going?

A good decision by him, he needs playing time. Good luck to him wherever he goes. Just don't go to UVA, they don't know what to do with talent.
I think UVA has an idea of what to do with talent...

It's official, Bitter said so.
Cant say I'm surprised. Hopefully the staff finds a role for J. Caleb before the same thing happens.
I had a feeling he would be transferring even before this post happened. We had a logjam of RBs and someone was gonna be left out.
Best of luck, Chris. No hard feelings, we promise.
Agreed, even as talented as he is, he seemed to always be the odd man out.
