Hah, right when I go to checkout the latest news I see this post.

Well...I have this thing sitting in my google drive:

I meant to write a post earlier but I didn't think people would actually care. My wife and I just moved from Florida to Minnesota. Completely boxed our lives up, closing on our new house in a couple weeks, and currently living in my in-laws basement. I have some my equipment setup on a card table and I have been hard at work. Mstrawther is currently reviewing the trailer and making some tweaks.

I'll remain in a bit of radio silence until I am settled into my new place but rest assured I am still a part of TKP community. It's going to take some time to get my media center up and running but I should be ready to go come gameday.

Trailer drops August 1st!

That's quite a move! I'm guessing winter is going to be a bit different for you.

Didn't think people would care!?!
What are you crazy?

I can start making highlight videos for each of my life's decisions if that is the case!

I'd watch even on PPV

So, we can expect big hype videos for births, moving, making hype videos, etc? Awesome.

Hope everything goes smoothly! Can't wait till August 1st!!

@AMB4VT

so you actually leave FL to move to Minnesota? Unless yall have family there, this does not compute...but congrats on the move anyway, man!

August 1st you say? *Marks calendar*

Until then, must...guess...Google...password...

Where in Minnesota?

Blaine. Just north of Minneapolis.

Is that near Lake Wobegon?

Where all the women are strong?

He's no good to me dead.

North of anywhere in Minnesota is a scary thought. As I look out my office window, palm trees are blowing in the breeze, storm clouds are building inland, and the water is as blue as ever. Tampa is a helluva a drug. Not sure I could ever quit.

Considering I moved from West Palm Beach, yes...I know what I will be missing, haha.

My company is based out of Burnsville. I will be there in August. Had to go in January which was brutal. High was -18.

I have family in Minnesota. The winters can be brutal but the summers are fantastic and it rarely gets humid. Helpful hint, during the warmer months, bathe in bug repellant or don't go outdoors after dark. The mosquitoes are brutal (10,000 lakes and all that). In the more rural areas it doesn't get dark, it gets gray due to the biomass in the air. It's probably not that bad in the more urban areas.

In all seriousness, I hope your move goes well and you're back to pumping out videos in no time.

The mosquitoes are brutal...

My wife would advise not to forget the deerflies.

And re: the winter....make sure you own a chisel (you'll need something to chip the dog off of the tree with).

I forgot about the deerflies. They are the worst. If you are hanging out outside, they can easily be thwarted though. You just need a stick or something that is taller than you because they will swarm around the tallest part of you (they think its your head). They will also go away with a slight breeze, oddly enough. You get horse flies up there about the size of cicadas, too.

Re: winter. I have relatives that tell me that it gets so cold that you cannot touch the doorknob of your front door on the inside of your house because the metal conducts the cold. If you drive anything deisel, you are not going anywhere without a block heater. On the plus side, you will get to experience the awesomeness of ice fishing.

I'm beginning to wonder what a hype video about your move would look like.

My son's first year roomate was into dubstep.....my son nearly threw himself out the window in similar fashion.

VT 12'... Exit light, Enter night.

Years ago I lived in Minnesota for three years while working for General Mills. Yes, it is very cold in the winter, but the people are warm and there is TONS to do in and around the Twin Cities year round--whether it be sports, cultural events, or just hanging out with friends. Beware the roads at midnight of the opening of fishing season. I swear that 2/3 of the state feels the need to be out like it's New Years. It's a big state for hunting, too. People are hard working, honest, and love the outdoors. I hope you like it there.
