This is a video released by Buzz's website after the completion of his notorious boot camp. I know its the midst of football season, but I know I am getting excited for basketball season this year as well.

I was wanting to see what was going on behind the veil of this storied boot camp. Looks like Buzz is starting with the mental toughness side of the season. I was thrilled that they put names to faces in the middle of that video as I think half the roster is new. Although how bad of a season does a team have to have if they need to practice celebratory pile-ons? (I keed, I keed)
Have a feeling these celebration pile on's will become more frequent.
I saw this and planned to post a link to it, but got taken in the wormhole of YouTube clips of previous Boot Camps Buzz operated at Marquette. I would STRONGLY encourage others to do the same to gain an even better understanding of Buzz and the hope he brings us.
As for the half joking about practicing celebrating, that was over the completion of boot camp, a fantastic bonding opportunity for the players. If folks care enough to watch the Marquette clips, you'll also hear Buzz explain why he uses even the smallest moments to help build the character of his players as men, not as players, but MEN.
As you watch multiple Buzz clips, you begin to notice a common thread - Buzz uses basketball to build men. Even something as small as who decides what is said when the team huddles for a pre-game, post-practice, whenever huddle of (fill in the blank...1,2,3 WORD!) is not above Buzz's treatment.
Am I enthused about this season? You bet! But more importantly, I am confident that we once again have a basketball program led in the best possible manner.

watched all those buzz boot camp videos shortly after his hire. still stunned we hired this guy.
SO pumped for hoops this season.
Leg to you for investing the time. I did the same thing - when I first heard the strong rumors about Buzz, after checking his resume I watched the clips. There are dozens upon dozens of them. I was just blown away. I still am amazed we were able to get someone like him. I had originally thought we might go after Donnie Tyndall, who is now at Tennessee. He would have been a natural fit for us, and would have been much cheaper. But Whit... instead of going for the Accord LX, decided it was time for a Mercedes. I'm quite happy, to say the least. My problem was that I didn't dream big enough, and forgot it was Whit, not anyone else. Whit goes strong with his hires.
I know we will have growing pains due to the youth of this team and lack of depth in the front court, but I am very excited for this breath of new life! The coaching staff and all of the players seem to buy into it so I am there with them!
Leg to you for the enthusiasm! I think the Boot Camp will be vital in bonding the players and getting them to buy into the new & vastly improved system that Buzz incorporates.
