Dear TKPers (and the Hokie Nation),
I have been thinking all day, "How on earth did we lose that badly to Miami last night?" It was truly embarrassing and I had a lot of time to think about what could have caused it. Poor playcalling? Maybe. Poor coaching? Maybe. Poor preparation? Maybe. But these things don't really explain why we lost so badly. Surely we could have overcome some of these factors and at least played a closer game.
It wasn't until I got home today that I realized what had happened. I was putting my clothes in the washer when I realized that I had been wearing my orange effect shirt under all of my layers last night without even realizing. I just picked a VT shirt yesterday morning and never got around to switching. You can imagine the horror when I realized that I was the reason that we lost last night. Had I worn the correct maroon effect shirt, we would be celebrating today. It is because of me that we lost last night. I am truly sorry that I have brought this upon the Hokie Nation.
My sincerest apologies,
Logan

Well, now you get thirty days in the Kooler. Dadgum you!
Better excuse than I have been hearing from all these coaches. You may be on to something.
This made me chuckle. Thank you :)
I also missed enter sandman, we're officially 1-6 when I miss enter sandman, the only win... Austin Peay
You've missed 7 Sandman's? I know tailgating is tons of fun but dude, get in the stadium. We need some wins and you need some jumping. You only get so many of those entrances before you graduate
I haven't missed a game since 07 cut me a break
I mean, I'm just joking around. I really wish that getting you in the stadium jumping would suddenly mean more wins though
Honestly, if he's attended every one since '07, that's 1 per year. Not too bad considering the distances/drinking many of us have to overcome to get from the tailgate to the stadium
Why?
Very funny Logan! At first I thought it was my fault since I forgot to hang my VT flag outside since I was real late getting home from my youth football team's practice. I feel better now since you mistakenly wore the wrong color effect t-shirt. I forgive you, bro. We are Hokie Nation! I'm not serious of course.
Good bit of levity, Logan.
I thought it was because we played them on a Thursday. 0-3 against Miami on Thursdays. We might want to not schedule that again.

On a similar note, I am sorry to report I will have to stop wearing my tkp logo shirt for games: 0-2, Georgia Tech and Miami. Joe, I highly recommend you reexamine your shipping practices, with a focus on packing more dork magic in
I haven't shave my face in two weeks maybe that's the problem!
Neither have I.
Tomorrow, I'm firing up the clippers.
I don't know, man.
I think maybe there's a reason. I never see guys ride their motorcycle to a game.
Mine was the first one I've seen parked in the lots for a game...........
(I kid, I kid)
Logan I feel your pain. After the game I realized that my attire has also contributed to tech's poor performance this year. Last summer Dick's was having a clearance sale on Tech stuff so I stocked up. For the W&M game I wore an old shirt but for every loss of the season, the shirt or jacket I wore for the game came for the collection I bought this summer at Dick's. Needless to say those shirts are staying in the closest for a while.
Son of a....
See, only takes one guy not doing his job to ruin a play (or game). I made darn sure I wore the correct pants, socks, belt, hat, everything.... And this clown goes and blows it all up.
I bought a new VT shirt last weekend when I was up in Blacksburg for a wedding and broke it in Thursday. ::sigh:: Guess I'll leave it in the closet until Spring Game.
My buddy wore orange pants. And then proceeded to get rip roaring drunk and took off his jacket to reveal an orange shirt! So now he was wearing all orange!
I think the blame was on me, I threw up at the tailgate around 5 then went home and fell asleep in my hallway. When I woke up it was halftime.
Thursday night games.... They'll get after ya.
