ACC Network for 11/1 - split network with BC at VT

For some reason, I can't find links on the ACC's website for either ACC Network game. If anyone else can find one, feel free to post it.

I've looked at the websites of the Virginia and DC stations that regularly carry ACC Network games.

These stations are carrying the VT game:
Blacksburg - Fox 21/27 (CBS has a noon game, so WDBJ can't carry ACC Network)
Richmond - Fox 35 (WRLH)
Tidewater - CW 27 (WGNT)

These stations originally had UNC/Miami in their schedule grid, but have now updated to BC/VT:
DC - My20 (WDCA)
Hooville - NBC 29 (WVIR)

I can't find any info on the Harrisonburg My4 station. I also checked Fox 5 (WTTG) in DC, since they used to carry the ACC Network, in case maybe they were going to allow both ACC Network games in the market, but they're not showing any football during the afternoon.

Keep in mind that many of these stations are the lower tier stations in their market, so their listings are less likely to be reliable, and could change at any time or could just be wrong now.

It's probably a safe bet that any station south of Virginia is getting UNC/Miami, as that is the primary game from ACC Network.

The only good thing about the split ACC Network is that ESPN3 will probably have the game available in more areas than usual.

506sports.com is a good website to get TV listings for college and NFL football. It's fun to look at for the coverage maps of NFL games. But they might be able to fish out an affiliate list. They usually update the college listings on Thursdays.

BTW, here's the "official" program description as seen on Fox Richmond's website:

College football teams from around the country will intensely compete against one another, as expert analysts give play-by-play commentary.

Surprising that the DC area is showing UNC-Miami. Despite the status of the season, I really find it hard to believe that there is more interest in those teams than VT in the most VT-alumni-rich area...

Hence my disclaimer of not trusting the local listing. My20 is the station that used to be UPN (and is owned by Fox 5), so I wouldn't be surprised if their listings aren't being double checked and just used the default ACC Network description.

Before I looked it up, I was sure that outside of a few oddball stations, the dividing line would be the VA/NC state line.

True, it may change. But it is weird, because the channel guide is usually right even a week or two out.

The ACC has to step in these situations. There is no way a va market should not be carrying a VT or a UVA game. The ACC needs to mandate that.

If they truly wanted to step in, they wouldn't do a split ACC Network game. There's simply no need for it, with all of the ESPN and RSN options.

For one of the games we had on the ACCN the channel guides for My20 (channel 506 on FIOS) was showing a movie or something. I think it's a pretty safe bet that VT v. BC will be on that station in the DC area. If not then it might be the most #GOACC moment ever.

The websites for My20 and NBC 29 have updated to show BC at VT. Editing post above.

ACC Network channel is brutal to listen to for football games. Tim Brandt and whoever that other guy is are just down right awful.

Bleeding burnt orange and chicago maroon

It's brutal to watch, too. I admit it's better than nothing, but the broadcast is so bad it's like watching ESPN3 on dial-up.

Good news is that we're the secondary game, so we're not getting Brandt and Archer.

Bad news is Mike Hogewood and Riley Skinner are probably ESPN3 quality announcers.

Milwaukee, Austin and Reno will get this barn burner.

I ended up checking my local station listings earlier this week and saw that I will be getting UNC vs Miami. Sorry guys, you will likely be getting some awesome espn3 footage in the film reviews.

Hyping up Hokie Nation one video at a time.

Haha...I work for WTTG Fox 5/WDCA My20...we are definitely showing the VT/BC game.
It will be on WDCA at 12:30

Leg for being one of the competent Fox stations.

Maybe covering UNC / Miami is simply preferable to learning to pronounce "Motuapuaka".
