The NCAA has decided to have Todd Gurley sit 2 more games, before being reinstated to play November 15 vs. Auburn.
The Dawgs are sitting nice in the first College Football Playoff ranking, and are in control of their own destiny, which will/may lead them to the SEC Championship in Atlanta.
Georgia running back Todd Gurley must continue to sit out two more games for accepting more than $3,000 cash from multiple individuals for autographed memorabilia, the NCAA ruled Wednesday.

I personally like Gurley - he is a extremely fun running back to watch.

That's cool... but Jameis Winston has nearly 4x the autographed merchandise on the same sites that Gurley got in trouble for, and... hey, no problem there!
Well, as the adage goes - it's not about what's true, it's about what you can prove.
But also, "where there's smoke, there's fire."
Oh hell, where's terriblemetaphorguy when I need him?
I think Georgia needs to be commended for how they've handled the situation. You can question the NCAA ruling but at least he gets to come back for the stretch run.
Agree completely. They acted swiftly and did not back away from their decision.
FSU on the other hand... they straight up ignored the elephant, errr- I mean "crabs," in the room.
Yup. Richt does it right. He's even done it when the backup isn't Nick-Chubb-level good
Hate this for Gurley's college career. He was fun to watch. Hopefully the silver lining in this is his shelf life in the NFL is extended by a year!!!
And on a side note, he was signing with multiple people. I would hate to imagine how many kids they have done this with. And what would occur if that was truly unveiled. How many "stars" for their team would be out for several games if the NCAA dug into this? And if I'm a coach or compliance officer, I'm researching these guys to see if they have any of my players stuff asap.
On the backside of that coin, I hope Gurley outs ALL the autograph dealers so future kids can blackball them for what they ended up doing to him. The first jilted-lover autograph dealer that was upset about his signing for others is pure sleezeball material, and deserves to never see another autograph in his life. It's a business, I get that. But holding it as blackmail material is trash. (Yes, I know what he did was against the rules, but blackmailing him isn't right.)
