Just saw this and don't know if it had already been cited:

"Foster said he counted up 31 times that Barrett, the Buckeyes' quarterback, was hit by a Hokies defender. That's particularly impressive considering the youth and inexperience of the Virginia Tech front."

"We're not worthy, we're not worthy!"

There's no doubt both QBs were sore after this intense, physical game. Which makes it even more amazing how cool Brewer stayed the whole time.

This is an unfortunate side effect if you ask me, kids keep reading articles like this and getting swollen heads. Hopefully the coaches and old players on the team keep them laser focused on the pirates...

I can imagine no more rewarding a career. And any man who may be asked in this century what he did to make his life worthwhile, I think can respond with a good deal of pride and satisfaction:
“I served in the United States Navy"

I was in the camp that we needed to get better offensively and SLs last 2 years left questions about the offensive changes we had made . There is a great article on SB Nation about the VT offense go read it . I think the BUD and Scott show for however long we keep it is going to be a great one . We are at the Dawning of a new VT for the next several years . Brewer was the piece to make the young talent go and Scott has a plan with the 3 tightends and the skill we have and I think we saw the 1st act last Saturday. This is not to say we go undefeated win NC this year but we are going to have and offense that can put the dagger in when the defense does what it does. Brewer bridges the gap till Scott could train the new kids . What is scary is this Offense is going to get a lot better as the year goes and the players will , have gained confidence in it . Scott has basicly put a whole new O with a new QB and fresman skill all over the place and it was good enough to win at OSU . I think we are in for a real treat with the TEs and players like Byrn , Newsome , Ford , Phillips our RBs and a guy like Brewer who can execute the plan . The disaster SL had at Auburn and the unfortunate injury to Brewer at TT are 2 bad things that happened and we may be the big winner as a result. I think we are going to put some whoppins on some people over the next several years like we used to . I think we are a real sleeper no one knows not even us how good we will be .

What I took from the OSU game is that we have an Offensive Identity and it works. You combine that with Bud Foster and you get some serious Dork Magic. As competitive as we have been without an offense I am excited to see what happens now that Bud Foster gets to rest his shiny toys and keep them fresh for the whole game.
