There was a collective "what just happened?" in my section. That was the play that made me think we'd get it in the end. I blame it on Sandman. Never play Sandman after the entrance.

I think it's hit-or-miss. I remember Sandman during 2005 Miami. On the next snap, Marcus fumbled in the end zone and we went down by 3 TD's. They also played it during 2010 GT (before? after? sometime around DW4's TD return), but that game was just wild. I generally agree that Sandman is a start-of-game event, probably because that '05 Miami game scarred me.

2007 bc game still haunts me to this day....they played it towards the end of that game. i wasnt at the 2010 gt or 2011 miami game......well shit maybe the bad luck is me being there when they play it at the end of the game

Because that is exactly what I'm saying. 5 seconds left, ok yeah. But even then standing in the North Endzone for that game I still had the feeling something might go wrong. But they keep playing it with around 2 minutes left. That is never the time to do that.

I agree I was fortunate enough to attend this game I was in the lower mid section of the east stands and I immediately thought "Oh No Why Now". Then I got caught up in the moment and started jumping and it turned into a story book ending producing one of the best videos of Lane Stadium EVER!

Haha that's awesome. I love watching fun videos after we win. Really accentuates the event. Especially over an acc riv... what's that? We what? How? Really?!?!? F**k that, going home (walks out, shuts door)

Sandman worked well at the end of the game against miami in 2011.
Figured someone would come back with that weak argument. Something something blind squirrels and nuts.

How is it a weak argument it was the perfect situation 5 seconds left and the final play of the game.
Playing it with 2 minutes left is just asking for trouble.
