EDIT: To expound upon my first response: I wouldn't touch a QB with off the field problems and a huge ego (come on, his parents are trying to patent a nick name for him. How's that for giving you a complex). Yes, he'll definitely end up somewhere because there are a ton of schools that would love that kind of production despite any potential off the field issues. I feel like we've flirted with this in the past (Marcus Vick anyone?), but I hope our program continues to eschew the practice.

eh id say alot of these kids have huge egos (most being the best player or one of since they 1st picked up a football they dont start to really experience competition until the college level or some of the hitghschool camps) and while his parents maybe trying to get paid sooner rather than waiting to see if kenny makes NFL money i think in some fashion or another as a parent specially of a tallented kid we all boost there head up a little bit and alot of us parents give our kid some kind of nick name. the key is to build that confidence and "swagger" that we all want to see back at VT and also have the work ethic and intelligence to know that your going to need more than hype to make it unless your going to be a rapper.

I'm looking at it this way... maybe since he grew up with an advantage, he got a little spoilt and can't deal with adversity that well. As someone said below.

i agree with that! i think at the 1st sign of struggle hes running away instead of busting his butt to try and get it back. i think once youve been a starter somewhere its alot easier to get your job back than it is to be the back up and become a starter. obviously at some point someone believed in you. but didnt the staff have a bunch of turnover as well? that could be why he is transfering too. but like you originally said i would not want him in blackburg!

Hot shot kid got brought back down to Earth and he thinks the problem is the coaches and team. A guy like this will always be held back by his ego and delusions.

If anyone can bust this kid's ego and get him back on a Heisman watchlist, it's Gary Patterson. Should be interesting to see how he fits in at TCU in 2 years.

This is so awesome:
We could get Kenny Hill, Chad Kelly, Jeff Driskel, and Michael O'Connor from PSU.
I like how this is shaping up: #alltheQBcometo VT

certainly not in Blacksburg

Kenny Hill's dad was an MLB pitcher for many years. I don't think him "getting paid" is an issue in this case.
no such thing as enough money to some folks
but even if thats not the case... i dont really see anything wrong with not wanting someone else to get paid off of your kids name either.

Well, that wasn't me who said he didn't want him in Blacksburg, but I fully agree with it. lol
TCU.
In all fairness, right now TCU is a stronger program than pretty much the entire SEC combined
yes, but after "Trill" sits out for a year, they will be looking for a new starting QB
They were 4-8 in 2013. Success can be as fleeting as failure.
With those numbers in limited playing time? I guarantee a FBS school picks him up.
To be fair, he was playing against the lowly defenses of the SEC
BOOM!

Agreed. But I do think that Gary Patterson can humble him somewhat.

Never enough backup QBs!!!
he'd make a good tight end too!
You forgot Braxton Miller...
