Dwayne Lawson is good at this athletics thing!

So a kindly Redditor over of R/CFB (which you all need to join, theres maybe 15-20 regular Hokie posters). Had this to share:

So Virginia Tech's incoming QB recruit Lawson just scissor kick high jumped 5'10, 6'10 straight up.

"I coach track in the Tampa area and had to work high jump at today's county wide meet. Dwayne Lawson, as the title says, demonstrated he is the real deal athletically. This was in addition to him triple jumping 47 feet (he is the defending state champ in Florida). If he doesn't make it as a QB, there has to be a home for him somewhere on the field. He's that talented.

Yea, yourself, Me, Hokie Huscarl, HTTRGIII, Theruins, TechTechVPI, elykl33t, and Puntastic Voyage seem to be pretty much the most active ones this off season, though im sure there are one or two Im forgetting. Im honestly more active over there then here any more, just fun interacting with such a huge breadth of fan bases.

And the glorious Jimmy Rustling.

I've said this since the beginning of the year: his system doesn't work and he refuses to adapt. And it makes me so mad that put players (Otto) in his doghouse like a high school coach. Otto finally went in today and played well.

Well, Wittman is going to get canned soon, so hopefully it won't matter next year.

Wittman is horrible. But I agree with the system thing. At the same time though, Otto Porter has been hurting himself with how bad he's been since entering the league. Aside from the obvious gaffes recently (two appearances on Shaqtin' A Fool!), he just hasn't found his rhythm that made him the number 3 pick overall two years ago. That's why Ariza was so productive last year and why Pierce is succeeding in his role this year (I guess that's debatable but I think for what we're paying him, he's been a valuable asset to this team). It just makes me mad that Wall gives 110% night in and night out and recently we've had nothing to show for it. Maybe if Beal can ever stay healthy this year we can have a shot at winning in the postseason, but right now I have no confidence we could beat anyone in the East. Although I am not huge Mike Wilbon fan, he said recently that he thinks this team might be purposely tanking in order to get Wittman fired. I don't know how I feel about this whole "Calipari to the NBA rumor", but if he decides to make the jump to the NBA, you gotta think he'd consider a team like Washington.

/u/happyflappypancakes You light up the game threads in /r/CollegeBasketball but there was that one game in the tournament (Wake Forest I believe) when you were absent and it wasn't the same.

I was on Spring Break. Didn't go online for 7 days straight. It definitely wasn't the same to watch a VT basketball game and not have a reddit thread open at the same time.

Actually we'll move him to WR for a little bit before we realize he's not going to CATCH on there. Then we'll move him to RB where he'll become a fan favorite despite never reaching his potential and will be passed on the depth chart time and time again.

Yeah he might not even give the starting RBs a run for their money. And he should definitely be blocked from trying out for oline. Not sure he's have the sack to play dline. Or if he could tackle all the responsibility that comes with safety. And corner would be a lot to cover...
