I was thinking today, in light of the well-documented 2015 RB rotation, what are we going to do when Marshawn Williams and Shai McKenzie return next season? Here's what the cupboard will hold:
Travon McMillian
Trey Edmunds
Marshawn Williams
Shai McKenzie
Deshawn McClease
Also Sam Rogers.
WHAT DO WE DO
My take is that McClease barely sees the field other than on special teams. Sure, there's a role for him, especially in a pass-catching position, but we have four other guys to get on the field as well. Unfortunately, it looks like Trey's stock is down, and with the ability of Williams and McKenzie, he might be relegated to a very limited role. In addition, it wouldn't shock me if McKenzie transferred, but man I would miss him.
So who's going to be the feature back? Who doesn't get carries? We're all out of redshirts with every one of these guys, so what gives?
