This is an awesome new development, by the same team which began the program which now is essentially the standard for rating helmets.
The plan is with Wake and Brown to track 6 teams for peewee players all the way till Middle School and examine the future of the sport.
Awesome to see VT taking the lead on the necessary research to make the game as sustainable as possible, and at least establish base line numbers for the diagnosis and potential prevention of life crippling disorders.

Great news.VT's hemlet ratings changed the helmet industry.
Have a leg.
And I love your profession.
This is great news. There should be more schools chipping in to get the best data possible. I never thought that football could be brought down by anything, but this concussion talk has put a huge damper on the enrollees for youth football (combined with emergence of more soccer). I have no idea what the data will show, but finally getting more information is a great thing. It seems like out society is real quick to point fingers now but slow at actually researching the problem. I'm proud that my school is helping to lead the way on this one.
