The 2016 Hokie Club numbers came out today and I thought this would be another good chance to talk about the Hokie Club. Another year with sub 10,000 Hokie club members, 9,897 to be exact. This is a number that needs to grow if Tech wants to keep getting better staff and coaches, more scholarships for more sports and better facilities. For people who have not joined or people who just joined what can the Hokie Club do to expand their presence?

how many in 2015?
I'll have to try and find my sheet but it was somewhere around 9,500.
I am a member and I have been trying to use the referral function to get my fiance a membership. I have not had any luck. What can I do? When I try going to their website I have trouble getting the form to send via e-mail. Is there a number I could call to get it straightened out?

Is there a link for these numbers?
Edit: still wondering if they post these anywhere, although I got the mailer when I got home anyway.
If they want to start expansion, they might consider starting small. Right now the minimum qualifying donation is $100 bucks, which isn't all that much, but certainly might seem so to people who would otherwise contribute, such as recent grads. Have a membership option starting at $1, and simply cut out some of the benefits, but allow them to accumulate priority points and let those years count toward the consecutive membership totals. I think you'd see more involvement rather quickly, and as people's paychecks and financial security grow, they'll give more.
New grads can join for 50 a year.
As I am not in Virginia and may not get my mailer for a few days, anyone found this list online?
I'm in SC and got it today, I've never seen this info online except what people have posted on sites like this.
Got it today, Battle at Bristol tix moved me up about 1800 spots!
I joined as a Bronze Hokie this year so I am one of the 400 new members this year. I think if Fuente can get 9 wins this year, I bet you see the membership numbers jump. That is one reason I decided to join this year. But one negative about 2017 is the home schedule is atrocious outside of Clemson.
Looks like there may be an effort to get the alumni players more involved?
The monogram club has really changed in the last two years.

This is an incredibly sad graphic of states with Hokie Club Members.
This is only "new" members (it says so in the title). I know several HC members in PA.
I asked that question and was told this was "map of current Hokie Club Members".
The graphic itself says last two weeks, though. Either way, Pennsylvania at least is missing.
This was in the twitter reference: "Graphic refers to NEW donors in highlighted states over the past 2 weeks! Thanks for your support! "
Just saw that in the Whit Twitter thread. Not sure who DM'ed me then from the Hokie Club telling my it was "current members." I've DM'ed back and asked and asked for current full member map.
Everytime I see this title, I think of the sandwich from west end. One of my favorite clubs of all time.
