After shooting 18 over in the first round, the Hokies rebounded with 2 under 286 in Round 2 to move ahead of Maryland, UNCG and Alabama (yes, that Alabama).
The Hokies were led by Sarit Suwannarut's 67, Mark Lawrence 70, Joey Lane 74, Logan Yates 75 and Blake Fiest 76. The tournament takes the top 4 rounds for the team total. Sarit is T6 and 5 strokes back in the individual.
We are 5 back from UNC for 10th and as of this writing, we are -1 for the day as Lawrence birdied his first hole.
the field includes Clemson, Georgia, Kentucky, NC State and Ga Tech. A very strong field.

Battling Alabama for 12th place. Logan Yates playing lights out today. Mark Lawrence playing well today. Sarit -2 on the back nine and +6 on the front.
Team plus 5 and 1 behind Bama.
